    What do you know?

"How well do you really know me?" someone may ask. Good question when you consider how complex we can be. Now, consider the idea of really knowing God. Seems impossible, doesn't it? Author Cec Murphey states in the book's introduction, "In the process of discovering God, I also learned about myself." This isn't your typical self-help book filled with do-it-yourself prescriptions. Cec always writes with an open heart and a conversational style that causes you to feel like a trusted friend. In short engaging chapters, he describes a lesson learned and sums it up in a statement that any reader can use to better know themselves and the God who made them. A refreshing book that offers 68 statement to ponder and pray as you go throughout your day.

Wonderful book of short but powerful thoughts

Each short chapter doesn't require a lot of time, but if you spend the time to digest and assimilate the message Cecil relays, you will be impacted significantly. His personal and easy style makes for a comfortable read. The wisdom he shares through his stories and aphorisms makes the reading worthwhile. This book is good for quiet times of self discovery. It would make a wonderful gift.
