Children's Literature
What would an exciting day be like for a baby koala? This is a fanciful story about a baby koala and his mother joining the other koalas for a "Koala Party." The photographs in the book are beautiful and can teach a child a lot about the koala bear. The story line will also teach the child about the bears, describing the different way they travel, the slowness of the older bears, and their eating habits. The large type and simple words make this the perfect book for an early reader to pick up by himself. Children who enjoy animals and animal life will be particularly intrigued by the nature of this book. This book is part of a nature series entitled, "Animal Storybook." The back cover of the book gives more information about the koala so parents can explain their lifestyle to young children. 2006, Gareth Stevens Publishing, Ages 4 to 8.
