    Nine days ago, I was blown away by their short performance in Dallas, opening for Fear Factory. They're all incredibly talented musicians and their self-titled CD (their first with a major record label after getting noticed by Gene Simmons) showcases mature songwriting and the phenomenal vocal skills of singer Kobra Paige. She sounds just as good live as she does in the studio, boasting range, power and expression. What an amazing voice! Rather than being drowned out by the rest of the group - which I've seen happen to someone as legendary as Iced Earth's Matt Barlow, Kobra was LOUDER than everyone else on stage. It was unforgettable. Overall their style is a throwback to the days of Ronnie James Dio, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and it's a fantastic trip down memory lane. Highlights are Welcome To My Funeral, Forever One, Heaven's Veins, Nayana and the gorgeous Aria of Karmika, but there isn't one bad song on the album. At the moment they have Peruvian guitar wiz Charlie Parra in the lineup so if they come to a city near you, GO!!!
