Kodocha: Sana's Stage #4

Overview

12-year old Sana Kurata is used to getting what she wants – even in love. Ever since she hired her manager, a man 10 years her senior who she calls her “gigalo,” she thought it was true love. When Rei shows his feelings for a woman his own age, Sana realizes that Rei's feelings for her are anything but romantic. Sana has romantic problems at school, too, as now former-bully Hayama and mama's boy Tsuyoshi are vying for her affections.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Eleven-year-old Sana is the star of the hit TV show Child's Toy. She's cute, confident, and optimistic and seems mature for her age-but emotionally, she's still a child. This compulsively readable manga, in Tokyopop's "Authentic Manga" format (read right to left, as in the original Japanese), is the story of her life with her mother (a famous author), her manager (whom she used to call her "gigolo"), and her friends. Sana is an adopted child, and this volume features an especially touching episode in which she has to decide whether to live with her birth mother, who has just reappeared, or stay with her adoptive mother. Sana and her adoptive mother share a crazy sense of humor that provides a good deal of comic relief, and Obana is adept at balancing the series' comical and serious aspects. Manga fans from teen girls to adults, especially fans of Marmalade Boy, will enjoy this series. Recommended for all collections. Copyright 2003 Reed Business Information.

    IT'S SO KAWAII!!!!!

I just love this whole series, and I can't wait to get book five! I like this book especially, because there's another part . . . (WARNING!!! THIS IS A SPOILER!!) Akito kissies Sana, and Sana is still clueless, unfortunately, but, hey, 'tis only the fourth boook, it can't progress that much! I suggest you buy the whole series, as much of it as you can!!! ^^;; *Realizes that she's been a little too hyper...*
