Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Politik - Sonstige Themen, Note: 1,3, Katholische Fachhochschule Freiburg im Breisgau, Veranstaltung: Angewandte Ethik, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: [...] Anliegen der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es nun, den Kommunitarismus in seinen Grundzügen darzulegen, seine Antworten auf die von ihm attestierte Atomisierung der Individuen aufzuzeigen sowie seine politisch-ethische Dimension zu entwickeln. Ein besonderes Augenmerk wird dabei auf die Frage gelegt, wie dem kommunitaristischen Denken nach ein moderner Staat im Spannungsfeld zwischen Individual- und Gruppenrechten zu agieren hat und wie er mit der kulturellen Vielfalt multikultureller Gesellschaften sowie der damit verbundenen Frage von Identität und Differenz umgehen kann.
Diesem Anliegen gemäß, wird im Folgenden zweiten Kapitel zunächst die zentrale Referenztheorie des Kommunitarismus - die ‚Theorie der Gerechtigkeit' nach Rawls - vorgestellt (Kapitel 2.1.), um daraufhin die elementaren Eckpfeiler kommunitaristischen Denkens aus der Kritik des Kommunitarismus am Liberalismus entwickeln zu können (Kapitel 2.2.). In diesem Zusammenhang wird vor allem auf die ‚Kritik des ungebundenen Selbst' nach Michael Sandel (Kapitel 2.2.1.) sowie auf die ‚Kritik des atomistischen Individuums' nach Charles Taylor und auf die hieraus entwickelten politisch-ethischen Prämissen eingegangen (Kapitel 2.2.2.). Weiterhin wird ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die Grundlegung zentraler Elemente kommunitaristischer Politik in der multikulturellen Gesellschaft gelegt (Kapitel 2.3.).
Das abschließende dritte Kapitel dient einem Kurzresümee über die dargelegte kommunitaristische Argumentation (Kapitel 3.1.) sowie einem Ausblick, welcher eine kritische persönliche Reflexion kommunitaristischen Denkens durch den Autor vorliegender Arbeit beinhaltet (Kapitel 3.2.).
