So wurde und wird viel diskutiert über das Jugendstrafrecht. Ist es ausreichend? Welche Instrumente fehlen? Wie können wir der Jugendgewalt entgegenwirken?

Die Instrumente, die das Jugendstrafrecht bietet, sind m.E. ausreichend. Es gibt Sozialstunden, Wochenendarreste, Dauerarreste, Teilnahmeverpflichtungen an entsprechenden Kursen des Anti-Aggressivitäts-Trainings und des Sozialen Trainingskurses bis hin zu freiheitsentziehenden Maßnahmen in Form von Unterbringung in Jugendstrafanstalten.

Bisher liegt der Schwerpunkt der meisten vorliegenden Arbeiten zum Thema Jugendgewalt eindeutig auf der empirischen Analyse von Gewaltphänomenen, während die Erarbeitung von Präventionsansätzen nachrangig ist. Das ist ein Problem, obwohl mittlerweile einige gute Präventionskurse vorhanden sind.

Ich möchte ein neues Konzept im Bereich der Präventionsarbeit vorstellen, den Konflikttrainingskurs „Alles klar!" (KonTAK). Bei diesem Trainingsprogramm geht es um den Aufbau und die Stärkung der kommunikativen Grundkenntnisse.

Kommunikative Grundfertigkeiten sind wichtig, um Konflikte zu vermeiden. Sie sind auch wichtig, um Konflikte anders auszutragen als mit Aggression, Gewalt oder Rückzug. Konflikt- und Kommunikationsfähigkeit, Teamarbeit und eigenverantwortliches Handeln sind Erfahrungen, die das Leben prägen. Die Vermittlung von sozialen Fertigkeiten und Fähigkeiten (soziale Kompetenz) hilft den jungen Menschen, in Schule, Ausbildung und später in der Berufswelt bestehen zu können.
