Taking a tour of Korea? Need the basics of Korean? Don't want to sound like every other tourist around?

You need “Korean For Tourists”. Each phrase is shown in English, Korean, and the transliteration so you can say it yourself - or show it to a local so they can understand you. Beyond simply giving you the vocabulary, sections are extensively linked to each other to make finding what you need that much faster.

Sections are on:

~ Basics (including numbers and basic phrases like 'where is the restroom')
~ Practical stuff (e.g. electricity, water, internet)
~ Shopping and money
~ Eating
~ Drinking
~ Travel (including getting around Seoul, via taxi, and the rest of the country)
~ Where to sleep
~ Get well (including what to say to get the medicine you might need)
~ Flirt
~ Curses
~ Emergencies
~ Slang

There's also an appendix on hangeul, the Korean alphabet, to help you understand the thousands of Korean words that are secretly English words.

To be clear, this isn’t a full language guide to Korean. If you’ll be in the country for more than a week, check out my other book Korean Made Easy. That book features thousands of the most commonly used words and phrases, along with enough grammar points to give you a serious start to learning the language. It’s also done up in an irreverent way to keep you laughing while you’re learning.

Note: due to hardware limitations, the Korean characters may not be displayed on older Nook devices. Although the book has been tested on B&N's emulators and the apps, there's a chance things may not work 100%. If the book does not display Korean characters on your device, please forward a copy of your receipt to chrisinsouthkorea AT gmail DOT com and I will send you a PDF version of the book :)
