Some background history why I started to write children books: in 2012 my husband and I were involved in a severe car accident during our holiday in Italy. After recovery I had just one wish: I would like to share a smile with all children all over the world; those who live in wealth as well as those that live in poverty. The first 3 stories are all about our cat Kye! Kye and the Kitty Boots Kye and Mrs Cottoncandy - will be published in 2019 as e-book Kye and the Balloon - will be published in 2019 as e-book Website: www.storiesofkye.com I'm member of SCBWI since 2015. I studied at the Royal academy of fine arts in The Hague. I love to paint (glaze technique) All illustrations in the books are my own. Our first approach was creating an App for iPads, the first three books were available as 3D audio and 2D self-read Apps I would like to reach a broader audience because, my biggest wish in future; I would like to donate part of the proceeds to purchase schoolbooks for children living in the poor countries of the world. In 2015 we founded the Kye4Kids foundation http://www.kye4kids.com/ We support projects for children living in poverty through fund raising and also by donating part of the proceeds coming from the sales of my books. Since 2018 I'm a member of Auteursbond Nederland. Currently, me and my coach, we are working on a brand new serie. We've just finished the set up for the basic concept and defined the main characters. Goal: to finish the first picture book in 2019 and get it published.
