Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
First, a note for those not yet proficient in International Text Message: In instant messaging lingo, "L8r, g8r" means "Later, Gator." L8r, g8r the book continues Lauren Myracle's swift-epistles series. Still at the center of the IM action are best buds Angela, Zoe, and Maddie. Having survived three years of high school, the winsome threesome fully expect to rule the school, but they hadn't anticipated the evil buzz of queen bee Jana or the crazy hijinks at their senior prom. Fast-breaking fun.
Children's Literature - Melyssa Malinowski
Zoe, Angela, and Maddie are half way through their senior year. Everything is going well, until they have a run-in with their old nemesis Jana. She proceeds to terrorize the three friends, who are experiencing growing pains of their own, with boyfriend issues and the idea of parting ways for college. Maddie and Angela try taking matters into their own hands, to strike back at Jana, and are upset when Zoe, the shyest of the three, won't even fight back! They begin to mistrust each other, lose boyfriends, and things get worse when their pranks on Jana backfire. In the end, they have to band together to keep the winsome three intact and enjoy the rest if their senior year. Aimed at instant messaging teenaged girls, this book shows the warm bond of friends and the need to stick up for yourself (and your buds!), but to be smart about it. A fun and colorful culmination to the "ttyl" set.
School Library Journal

Gr 10 Up
The "Winsome Threesome" are back for their senior year, and boy, do they have a lot to talk about! This third and final installment about Maddie, Zoe, and Angela takes the girls in new directions, and, with Jana (the series' antagonist) back with a vengeance, they are struggling to retain their "bff" status. Rife with the daily drama of modern-day high school, the book's appeal is widespread. As before, the story is told through a series of instant-message and chat-room conversations and is written entirely in that "language," which also adds to its appeal. Suddenly, 200-plus pages don't seem like a lot, and reluctant readers gain a sense of achievement having breezed through what appears to be quite a lengthy novel. Be aware that as these teens mature, so does the book's content. Reading the first two titles helps with understanding references to past events but is not necessary to enjoy this one. Well written, thoughtful, and well developed, this novel is the perfect conclusion for this series.

Internet Girls series rock my socks!

This book is great. This is probably my least favorite out of the three though. The others were better. They were all pretty good though. It wouldn't recommend it for young readers though. It has some naughty language and they talk about some naughty stuff.

Say Later Gator to this trash...

My 13 year old begged for this series of books for Christmas, so I got them for her. A few weeks later she started asking me questions that I probably can't post on this site because of their explicit content, so I asked her where the questions came from and she said it was from these books. I took a quick look at the books and discovered that these books are definately NOT for the early teen set, although they are written to appeal to them. I'd urge any parent who wants to avoid over-sexualizing their young teen girls to avoid these books like the STD's that are likely promulgated through the activities of this books characters. And BTW, my daughter's copies ended up in the place they originated from... the trash.

Hey do you want a good book to read? Then read L8r,g8r

    L8r,g8r
Lauren Myracle
Amulet Books, 2007
Realistic Fiction

Do you like books that are a quick read and that have a lot of action? If you do then L8r,g8r is a good book for you. It was written by Lauren Myracle and it is part of a series. This one happens to be the third in the series. In this book, Doug comes back from his semester at sea and Zoe is very excited. Then Angela gets a Jeep from her friend Logan. When Maddie finds out that Jana is spreading rumors about her, she starts to play pranks on her. These pranks lead to back-to-back fighting. And if all of this isn't bad enough, all three of the girls get accepted to different colleges. To find out what ends up happening to the girls and why, you must read the book L8r,g8r!

Maddie is a primary character who likes to sleep until noon. She is careless and doesn't like to let people know how she is feeling. If there wasn't a Maddie in the book then it would be boring because she is part of the conflict. One of Maddie's best friends is Angela. She is lot like Maddie except that she cares about grades and getting into a good college. Since Angela lives with her aunt Sadie, she has to go see her parents in California on her school vacations. Without Angela, the story wouldn't have action because that is what she adds. Both of these girls have an enemy named Jana. Jana is an antagonist who is rich, popular, and rude. Angela and Maddie are always against Jana. There is a lot of conflict between the three. If the book did not have Jana then there would not be a problem. L8r,G8r has a lot of interesting characters who are full of action and details.

L8r,g8r is a great book full of action and humor. It is written through instant messages and has short pages so you get through it at a good pace. The conflict and themes are what will hold your attention and make you want to keep reading on. Lauren Myracle has done a great job writing this terrific book. When the book is completed it will make you want to find another one in the series.

THIS BOOK IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ, YOU NEED TO READ IT.

L8r G8r Lauren Myracle Harry N. Inc. realistic-fiction Do you like books that you can relate to? Do you like to read about real-life situations? Do you like to IM? What about realistic fiction? If you do, then the book L8r, G8r is the book for you. This book is written by Lauren Myracle, she is a very good author, and she has two more books, both prequels, of L8r, G8r. The book is about three high school age girls that have to over come many obstacles, obstacles that most high school girls have to face. A lot of things go wrong when the most popular girl in school starts to have a hatred for the three girls. They get pranked, harassed, and teased by her. When the girls fight back, things get worse. This book is very interesting and intriguing, I do recommend that you read it. Angela is one of the main characters of L8r, G8r. She is important to the story because she helps everyone with their problems. She is a very interesting character. In the beginning of the book, she has a boyfriend named Logan, they are happy together. Maddie, is another main character in the book. Shes important to the book becasuse she keeps both Zoey and Angela laughing. She is called the ¿bad girl¿ of the group. She gets pranked buy Jana the most out of all the girls, but no one knows why. Zoey¿s a main character also. Shes important to the story because she helps everyone get along, when they normally wouldn¿t. She is the ¿good girl,¿ she has a boyfriend named Doug, and she says that she loves him a lot. The main characters are very interesting and exciting to read about. I am recommending this book to you because I think that it is a very good book. You will like it if you are a girl, a teenager, and very into computer chatting. I like this book because I can relate to some of the things that happen, like the bullying and friend troubles. This book also teaches the reader about school, how to handle school, and about friendship. I think that you should read this book.

THE BEST BOOK YOU WILL EVER READ IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE SO READ IT NOW!!!!!!!!

L8R G8R Lauren Myracle Amulet Realistic Fiction The winsome threesome is at it again, battling high school one step at a time in this amazing book L8R G8R written by Lauren Myracle. Now it is their senior year, Angela, Zoe, and Maddie have many challenges they need to overcome. Many events happen in this book, first they find out that evil Jana has a stuffed animal that she goes everywhere with then, Angela gets a great valentines day present from someone. Also, Zoe¿s boy friend comes back from his trip so she is very excited. Overall, this year is pretty good for them until there is a conflict that turns everything around. Can these girls get through this and show just how much they care about each other? Or will they lose each other just when they need each other the most? Either way you need to read this book. There are many characters in this book that add to the excitement. First there¿s Maddie, a wild 18 year old who will do just about anything to get to a party. She is pretty laid back, but she will take some risks when it is needed. She is well cared about and her two best friends Angela and Zoe keep her in line. Angela, also a senior is pretty mild when it comes to her personality. She is a very trustworthy and loyal. Although she goes with the flow, there will be a time when she just needs to get in trouble, and believe me she will. Angela is a dynamic character, her personality changes a lot through the book. Angela¿s strong personality will sometimes crash with Zoe¿s. Zoe, the last member of the winsome threesome is the good girl. At 18 years old she is your typical sweet, polite, and smart teenager. Zoe is also very trustworthy and she usually doesn¿t take much of a risk, but just like the others she will go out of her way to help a friend. There are many other characters in this book like evil Jana, and charming Doug that add to the excitement of this great book. This book was amazing. Definitely in the top 5 best books I have ever read. There was so much excitement that I never wanted to put it down. It is very realistic when it comes to describing three high school girls and the conflicts they go through. I especially loved the fact that the whole book was written in IMs and text messages, which made the book fun to read. The book is so descriptive that it paints a picture in you head. When you read it, you will be able to relate to what is happening, that's how real it seems. If you want a great book, you need to get L8R G8R, I am positive you won¿t forget it.

I loved this book and the entire series! It was hilarious but it is inappropriate so I wouldn't recommend it for younger readers. Other than that it was a great book and I loved the way it was written. Lauren Myracle did an excellent job of making it seem realistic; the events are things that actually happen in highschool. Overall loved it!

    parents beware!

this book is too much for girls under 15. This is the raunchiest of the series, with adult themes and 4-letter words throughout. The IM chat appeals to tweens, but read the first 30 pages BEFORE allowing your girls to read this book. This book could never be read on the TV or radio and I couldn't even begin to describe the content here.

    S.R.V- Book review(:

The book L8R G8R is one of the best books I have ever read! I read all three books in the series, (TTYL and TTFN) but L8R G8R was the best one by far. I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down. When something intense was about to happen, I was just glued to the book! This book really opened my eyes to the world of drama. I made a text-to-world connection, when I read about how Angela, Maddy, and Zoe are all best friends, and talk constantly. It made me think about me, and my friends, and how we are always stuck together, no matter what! Because I read TTYL and TTFN, I really enjoyed seeing how Maddy, Zoe, and Angela all had grown up, and the things they experience kind of remind me of myself. I mean, I'm certainly not a senior in high school, but just my school life in general, I can relate to theirs. I would recommend this book to anyone 13 or older, just because of some of the language, and content. But otherwise, it's a great book!

THIS BOOK WAS INCREDIBLE JUST LIKE THE PREVIOUS BOOKS IN THE SERIES. LAUREN MYRACLE DID NOT DISSAPPIONT! IN L8R G8R I THOUGHT IT CAPTURED MORE TOUCHY ISSUES THAT APPEAR IN YOUR TEEN YEARS. I WAS GLAD TO SEE THAT ZOE, ANGELA, AND MADDIE STAYED FRIENDS THROUGH IT ALL THOUGH! I RECCOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO READ THE FIRST TWO IN THE SERIES AND HOPE THAT YOU FIND IT JUST AS AMAZING AS I DID!

    L8r G8r

    Introduction
L8r, G8r is about three girls who experience what it is like to be a normal teenager in a normal high school. The purpose of this book is to inform teens about what is like in a normal school as a normal teen. It tells about relationships, drama, friendships, and of course enemies.
Description and summary of main points
L8r, G8r tells about three teens, Zoe, Angela, and Maddie who, like everyone else have problems in their life. They have problems with mostly relationships and enemies. L8r G8r shows anyone who reads it that friends are very important and that every teenager has problems sometime in their lives.
    Evaluation
This book is a great way to learn about life and what might you may go through while being a teenager. I would recommend that only teenagers should read this book!
    Conclusion
L8r G8r is about three girls who find out about the many issues that happen as a teenage girl. They realize that many of the problems that you will face in life are the ones that you can't change. They also find out that many people change no matter how much you don't want them to.
    Your final review
I think that this book is really good and that it is very informative about life. I think that only teenagers should read this book because it is very graphic. I would recommend this book to anyone who is mature. I give this book 5 stars.

    l8r, g8r by Lauren Myracle

An awesome sequal to ttyl and ttfn. Madigan, Angela, and Zoe's converstations have been taken to the next level. Their on their senior year in high school. They talk about school, boyfriends, and Jana, the mean girl. Madigan is my favorite character. She doesn't care what anyone thinks about her. I recommend it to girls because the girls talk about girly things.

    Amazing Book

This book is amazing! I took it to school to read, and then all of my friends wanted to read it. All of them loved it, and enjoyed how it was written. I'm not sure if my LA teacher liked it because it is all in netspeak, but all of my friends loved the series. It is a little mature at times, but it was like Breaking Dawn. I would recomend it to all teen girls.
