The story of the birth of Christ, celebrated around the world at Christmas, is one of the most beautiful in the New Testament. Gennady Spirin has been described as an artist who "truly represents the child's picture book as an object of art." In The Christmas Story, his paintings technically and spiritually surpass all of his earlier work. Drawing on his classical training and his Orthodox Christian faith, Gennady Spirin has created an exquisite book for the whole family to treasure.
