Meet the Author

Valentina Alazraki (Mexico City, 1955) studied communications and political science in Italy. From October 1974 she was a correspondent in Rome for Televisa, and starting in 2005 for WRadio, where she covered the Vatican. Her journalistic work has permitted her to present to the audience key moments in the history of the Holy See: the death of Paul VI, the election of John Paul I, his death, the conclave where John Paul II was elected, his end, and the designation of Benedict XVI. She has had more than one hundred trips with John Paul II and sixteen with Benedict XVI. She is the author of the books John Paul II: God's Traveler and John Paul II and the Virgin of Guadalupe. Her previous work, In the Name of Love: Memories of a Holy Man, was published by Grupo Planeta, and has been a great success for the publisher.
