Overview

Why did the first Christians hide Mary Magdalene's true identity? Why did they diminish the crucial role that she must have had in the foundations of the new religion? With research of rare documents that had been hidden for centuries, Juan Arias, a writer and journalist with extensive studies in theology, philology, philosophy, psychology, and semiotics, offers in this polemic book a well-documented hypothesis: Jesus and Mary Magdalene lived a passionate love story.

This book is recommended for those people who were Catholic in the past but they were not pretty convinced about the whole system of Catholic beliefs. In the huge sea of unexplained and sometimes incoherent facts in the life of Jesus and his people according to the official Church vision, Juan Arias' hypothesis about alternative explanations for the entire life of Jesus and his true ideas and purposes are filling the need of understanding of curious readers and Jesus followers. It is also a very interesting point of view in favor of women and their potential role in Christianity, which one more time, helps to see Jesus as a much more updated man than the typical Catholic overview of him.
