I enjoyed this book tremendously. It is a coming of age story of two Americans living in Bolivia during the time that president Evo Morales is very aggressively aggrandizing power. The book makes the characters come to life as full, rich human beings while also transporting the reader to the sights, sounds, textures and aromas of Bolivia. It is beautifully written with lovely pose and lovely dialogue and excitingly paced. Good to curl up to over the weekend.
