What People are Saying About This

Roland Allen
This humble company produces the most useful information I've run across for helping high school kids understand what it's really like on campus. (Roland Allen, Director of College Counseling at St. Margaret's Episcopal School)

Meet the Author

I was very excited to have the opportunity to write an entire book about the school that has grown so dear to me. I am a sophomore at La Roche, majoring in professional writing with a minor in French. I decided to attend La Roche because of its small environment and closeness to home (I'm a Zelienople, Pa., native). On campus, I am a member of the Theatre Group, a public relations officer for the Italian Club, a DJ for the Web radio station, and a staff writer for the student newspaper. I also work at the college bookstore and serve as a worker in the communications, media, and technology department.

Outside of La Roche, I am a committed humanitarian, and I have volunteered my time and energy to charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Toys for Tots, and the Light of Life Homeless Shelter. I've also helped with various entertainment activities at local nursing homes. After graduation, I hope to attend the police academy and join the FBI. Later, I plan on attending law school to become an international business attorney for the FBI.

I could not have written this book if it had not been for a few wonderful people, and I would like to thank the following: Ed Stankowski, for being the best teacher I have ever had, academically and non-academically; Sophie, for being the most wonderful roommate and best friend I could ever ask for; Ann, Jarrod, Sam, Jason, and Neil, for keeping me sane during the time it took to write this (and always); Paul, for providing me with hours of entertainment, whether he knows it or not; Mom, Aunt Lisa, and Aunt Val, for supporting me in my dreams and aspirations—I love you; Jon B., for helping me manage mystress and for serving to protect our great country; Mike and Shannon, for their support and love; Jon K., you've been such an inspiration to me, and I appreciate you helping me follow my dreams and loving me no matter what; and to anyone working at or attending La Roche. I wouldn't have wanted to spend the last two years of my life anywhere else.
