This is an amazing story of love, forgiveness, overcoming tragedy, keeping your faith and finding faith. I loved this book. It was so well told that it drew me in. This was a heart wrenching, suspenseful, and beautiful romance. The story of Sorcha and what she went through, the doubts that she had and how she had withdrawn into herself was so realistic that my heart ached for her. Samuel helps her to realize that things just might turn out alright. Grant, is the essence of highlander without his character being overbearing as highlanders are often portrayed. He was still every bit the strong highlander that you expect to read about but you see a real side )more than the warrior) to him so much throughout the story. The obstacles that have to be overcome, the dangers that are constantly in their path made this story truly enticing.
I look forward to reading more books in this series.

Okay have to say this is my fav book so far in The Renaissance Heart Series! Felicia Rogers just gets better! So this book picks up with Grant Cameron. He has his plans in order...leave Duncan and Arabella to go home, find a pure Scottish wife and settle down but once again he is deterred. His brother Samuel (A protesant living in Ireland spreading God's Word) sends a note stating he is in grave danger. So Grant decides to help his brother before finally going home. Sorcha is a young lady with a troubled past. After being forced upon by her step brother and pregnant with his child she is shunned by the village. Samuel tries to show her that she can still be loved not only by God but by others. When Mary becomes queen and encourages the killing of protestants suddenly no one is safe. With burnings at the stake happening all over England and Ireland what kind of future can Sorcha have especially when everything she has cared about is suddenly taken from her? It is a dangerous time to be a Christian and Grant cares nothing for it...Can Sorcha give Grant the answers that he seeks? This is a must read!!!
