The Labor Progress Handbook written by Penny Simkin and Ruth Ancheta is a very helpful tool for the childbirth educator. I purchased this book to aid in my preparation for the Lamaze childbirth educator certification exam. I feel it will be beneficial for information that will be on this very crucial exam. Penny Simkin is a very knowledgeable woman and a great advocate for women who are involved in the care of laboring women and the women themselves. I have thoroughly enjoyed and learned from anything she has written and from the videos I have used and seen for childbirth education.
