Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Lee sets this sweet contemporary romance in contentious Hollywood. Sarah Steele, a new lawyer for the Movie Actors Guild, is assigned an important case involving the payment of residuals. Sarah is pitted against Jake Rappaport, a handsome lawyer for Lion Studios who has a reputation for doing whatever it takes to win. At first Jake relishes the chance to wine and dine Sarah while pumping her for information about the case, but his feelings for her soon turn genuine. Sarah is wary of getting involved with Jake, given a recent breakup and the potential damage to their careers if anyone finds out about their relationship. Lee serves up a few interesting tidbits about the not-so-glamorous inner workings of the entertainment industry, but the minutiae of the contract dispute slow down the plot of this run-of-the-mill love story. Coffee Time Romance & More
Labor Relations kind of reminds me of one of those he said, she said movies where the banter back and forth is more like foreplay than actual arguing... Labor Relations is a novel that is fun, entertaining, and with enough romance to keep you coming back.
