    Great Book for Beginners

This book was very helpful for my wife and I when we were thinking about getting a lab. It is clearly organized by chapter, follows a great progression of topics, and is well-written. Most of all, the love of labs shines through. Joel espouses the lure and reward training method, and he convinced me. Made us want one of Joel's labs.

    To lovely

Really? I have a black lab and her nam is stella. She is our 3rd dog. All our other dogs were labs. One was named sophie a chocholate and the other was roxy a yellow lab. She died of congestive heart faileir. Stella is the smartest dog on all because she figured out how to open the crate all by herself. &#9829
