    Recommend for All Readers

This book is a good read for anyone interested in history. The stories are brief and plentiful. The historical accounts are well rounded with an emphasis on the trials and tribulations that each woman experienced in their lives. I have recommended this to all friends, regardless of gender. To me it reaffirms the difficulties and human condition that exists that we all have to deal with, but not always on a political level or with our lives at stake, literally.

What we needed to learn in school!

A joy to read, this book introduces you to amazing women through all of time. Indeed, the broad scope is one of the things that differentiates this compilation of mini-biographies. Each bio begins with an exciting story that captures the character of each special women.

While readers of all ages and genders will enjoy this book, it is MANDATORY reading for adolescent girls who are just beginning to figure out who they are, where they fit in the world, and what is possible for them.

    Well done Ms. Santa Lucia!
