Overview

A brand new sexy contemporary romance from New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Katy Evans.

TAHOE ROTH.
Irreverent, cocky, playful and naughty.
He's not the guy you date.
He's the one night stand.
The one your mother warned you about.
The one your body craves.

You'd think the man who called me succulent would want to strip me down and spread me out on his bed--like he's done with countless others.
But he passed on my offer....
Just like I'd once passed on his.
He's wary, like I am.
He's broken, like I am.
And everyone knows two broken parts can't ever make a whole.
Tahoe and I are strictly friends.
So I distract myself with other men.
He doesn't think my new man is good enough. This blond blue-eyed beast doesn't think any man is--himself included.
But the more time we spend together, the more confused I feel.
I'm trying to open myself to love.
Yet I'm quickly realizing that the only man I want is Tahoe Roth.
The one man who will surely break my heart.

Loved the story of Tahoe and Gina!! Great story line, wonderful characters!! Stayed up all night to finish it!!

AudioBook Review Overall: Stars: 4 Narration 5 Story 4 I love this series – new adult romance with a touch of edge, a dash of sexy and some wonderful characters – each one works on its own, mostly. But, trust me, you’ll want to devour them all! Grace and Tahoe have been friends forever – friends with that crazy, off the chain chemistry that neither has dared to take to the edge, or beyond. She’s horribly broken: her self-esteem and list of bad boyfriends is longer than she is tall, but she just can’t seem to get past it. Tahoe is sexy, funny and completely in denial about how badly he wants Gina. Instead he fills his nights, and bed, with a series of one night stands – ultimately unfulfilling because they aren’t who he wants. Neither of these two believe they have what the other needs – and when their chemistry proves too much to resist – they still are holding back and doubting. But, the little cracks that appear and the ability to share and commiserate with difficult moments, memories and experiences- will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, and keep you glued to the words and moments. Narration by Grace Grant is wonderful – while she doesn’t put on a ‘voice’ for each character, each one is distinct in the delivery, the pace and even the emotional overlay that is subtly added and pushes emotions AT the listener, not in an intrusive way, but one that reaches out and grabs your attention and heart. Another wonderful performance that enhances the story, and doesn’t leave me in any doubt about the characters, their emotions or their progression as a couple. I received an audiobook copy of the title from Simon and Schuster Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

No way to even finish this. I don't like reading books where the h/H are having sex with so many other people.

A lovely romance. Did not like Trent! Kept waiting for the little guy to be faking her somehow! An easy read... Although, the cover is nothing like Roth!! Thankfully!!! Waining for the next one...

Tahoe and Gina have enough unresolved sexual tension to drown in it. They both know that the other wants them, but crossing that line could end their remarkable friendship. He does not intend to be monogamous, and she's looking for a forever man. They flirt, and they fight the inevitable. Tahoe is a big man with a big personality. He's honest, full of life and always up to something. Gina is pretty relatable for adult women looking to find that special man. She isn't a doormat, but it's hard for her to see her self-worth sometimes. She's never been the center of someone's world. This is the story of two magnets fighting the pull. Ladies Man is a win for me. I really liked it. I'm in love with Tahoe. The romance is wonderful, and I also think Gina's journey may inspire readers not to settle in life.

I have just received my copy in the mail. came when they said it would. :) and im very excited to read this one , which i will be doing very soon. the only problem is that when it got here my box looked squished and damaged, etc. the book was overall in very good condition considering, but it was wrinkled and bent a little at the top of the book. it wasnt too bad to make me send it back but still when these books cost what they do, you expect it to come in perfect condition. this has nothing to do with the book, more to do with B&N but im just throwing that out there.

I'm a huge fan of Katy's work but Ladies Man was a big disappointment. It started out with potential when Gina offers herself to Tahoe on his birthday but is turned down. Their story was just about Gina and her day to day life. I felt nothing between them so when they say I love you it's not believable. BFF's?! Really?! Short conversations, sporadic encounters. Nope. Nothing. Tahoe's hiding the reason he is a "ladies man" for most of the book and then it's explained in a few quick sentences. Even the ending was blah. Their not together, not together, not together, together and it's over. Hoping Callan's book is way better.

Another Katy Evans' book, another REALLY hot hero! but like... REALLY HOT! I admit at first i found him a little too "manwhore", and i hurt for Gina. She's amazingly strong, not being totally devastated and "doing her life", with Tahoe and all his women in front of her. But the more i read the more i found him attractive. I liked how protective he was with Gina. I liked how he cared for his friend Saint. When i understood why he was a "ladies man", i fell in love ! Seriously it's impossible to resist him. Another Katy Evans' book, another great and addictive story! I was and i'm still a big fan! thank you Katy Evans!

Katy Evans is one of the best contemporary romance authors out there. All of her stories are wonderfully written, with swoony, complex characters and interesting story lines. There is something about each of them, some magical spark between the pages that holds an addictive quality. It's always present when I open one of her books. Ladies Man is sexy and romantic. The story was engaging and frustrating enough (in a good way, trust me) to have kept me on the edge of my seat. These characters- Gina especially- unfold before the readers eyes; character development at its finest. One of the best things about the story is the pace. It's on the slow side, but it's a slow burn; kindling that is about to catch flame. It allows the story to flow and the relationship to blossom. Tahoe is a lot different than Saint was. Loving Saint and Rachel as much as I did, I wondered if Tahoe would come anywhere close to the Manwhore books. But Tahoe is a good kind of different. Enough to make you fall in love and stay hooked throughout the whole novel. He's not your typical romance hero and that's why I liked him. Katy Evans is definitely an author any romance fan should try out. I have yet to be disappointed by any of her novels. I am looking forward to the next book in the Manwhore series and any other books Katy puts out in the future.

I did enjoy Tahoe & Gina's story, even though it was a much slower paced book than we are used to from Katy Evans. I am looking forward to the next book in the Manwhore series.

Tahoe and Gina have a great friends to lovers story. They accept each other for who they are and as they grow closer together open up for each other. Their story is full of passion, depth, and emotion. A great addition to the manwhore series.

5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, betrayal, and heartbreak. Before reading this story please read the below books first Manwhore (Manwhore #1) Manwhore +1 (Manwhore, #2) Ms. Manwhore (Manwhore, #2.5) This is Gina and Tahoe’s story. Gina and Tahoe are friends. They have crazy chemistry but they are in the friend zone. One thing or another has kept them in the friend’s zone. Gina is broken and has a ton of bad relationships under her belt. Gina and Tahoe are pulled together but a fated force. You can feel that these two should be together but they take quite some time to get to the point they are together. All Tahoe’s one-night stands make him picture Gina to get through them. There are many obstacles in the way of them being together and they will have to work at it but in the end I think it makes them a better and stronger couple. I love the chemistry between these two. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book.

“No one is the way they seem. We all hide little pieces, either because we don't want to be judged,or because we don't think we'll be understood,or simply because we don't want those pieces of us to belong to anyone but us.” I couldn't wait for Tahoe Roth's story ... It was totally worth the wait! It was a slow burn that I couldn't put down!!! A great story with lots of depth and emotion as this friends to lovers story plays out. You can't help but fall for Tahoe Roth...he is the perfect damaged hero. You cheer and ache with him throughout the book. The book was beautiful written, building slowly and ultimately you get what you waited for...well worth the torture! “Love should make you feel good about yourself and about the person you are when you're with the one you love.Love should make you feel accepted a you are.”

** spoiler alert ** Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. This is a hard review to write...mostly because I felt like neither Gina or Tahoe were being fair to one another or anyone else in their lives. At the same time, they were so clearly meant to be together that anyone who didn't realize that came off as dumb. For instance, Trent. What exactly were we supposed to hope for with his and Gina's relationship? It was clear that the two of them didn't make sense together. I also understood why Gina was trying to protect herself. She had offered herself to Tahoe and been found wanting (or so she assumed). I had a love/hate relationship with Gina and Tahoe the entire book. They were friends, but clearly more, but their friendship was great. And his birthday present was perfect, but she was ignoring him. Do you understand my frustration??! It was worth it though. So worth it for that ending. Overall, it took a little two long to get to that HEA, but when we got it? Oooooh boy. I could have read pages and pages and pages of that. It was like Evans was as sexually frustrated as Tahoe and Gina and poured all of that into those last twenty pages. Damn. Damn. Damn. That was amazing.

4.5 Stars!! I don't know where to begin! Katie Evans knows how to make your heat ache, melt you into a romanced puddle of goo, and burn from the chemistry! I absolutely adored the first books in the Manwhore series. I was anxiously awaiting Tahoe and Gina's story. No surprise, Katie doesn't ever disappoint! Tahoe is broken. It's very clear, but he's also a mystery. More of a manwhore than Saint ever was, for reasons we cannot suspect. What always amazed me about Tahoe was the perfection with which he held on to his mask. If you didn't know him, as almost nobody really does, you wouldn't see the tiny shadow always lurking behind his sparkling blue eyes and beautiful smile. To the rest of the world, he is happy, carefree, living a life of envy. However, the truth is, Tahoe is using his persona to hide pain and letting it seep inside and tarnish his belief in himself. He hardens his heart against love, even though it's so clear that Gina is his everything. Gina is broken too, but Tahoe has the ability to heal her, even if that simply means giving her the courage to try and find love again. His friendship is a balm to her wounded soul but it's almost as painful as it is joyful. She wants him and at times, she breaks down, willing to take what little bit of himself he allows other women to have. To Tahoe's credit (adding to his already magnetic appeal), he won't let her. He knows she deserves more than a one night stand, and it's something he refuses to give. He even watches her attempt to find it with someone else, knowing she deserves to be loved and worshiped. There are moments of absolute heartbreak in this novel. Tahoe's need for Regina is strong and palpable, I could feel it clinging to the air like dark, wet blanket. But, those moments when they are so casual and open, the best of friends, they lightened my heart. Their banter was cute and witty, often making me smile as though I were a part of the joke. The sexual tension between these two...whoa! Denial isn't something I would have thought could be a form of foreplay, but after reading this book, there is no doubt that is can be. There is also a sweetness to their romance, something fun and innocent, but so filled with love. It's very clear they bring each other joy, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I really wish it hadn't taken quite to long to get them together. By the end of the book, I was quite frustrated. A little tired of the same back and forth, though there were minuscule hints of Tahoe's thought process changing. In the end, it was simply beautiful. These two deserved their happy ending and when get it, it lights up the book and warms you like you're standing in the sunshine. They are perfect for one another and I was all about the warm fuzzies. I really, really, wish there had been an epilogue though. I'll admit, I pouted over it for a while. I'll cling to the promise of the next book in the series! I can't wait!

Outstanding! That is my go to word for this book. It is absolutely outstanding! Katy Evans weaves her magic through the pages of this book and keeps you completely in her spell. You will be so drawn into the book, you actually begin to feel every emotion that Gina and Tahoe feel. This book was different than so many other romances regarding the relationship of the main couple. It is not your typical couple gets together, has a conflict, works it out romance. This is the story of two broken people who happen to be good friends. It is the story of two people who are both trying to live their lives in the best way for them. Full of emotion, this book takes you on a journey. It isn't your typical romance ride. It is truly a journey of personal growth as Tahoe and Gina both try to figure out what they mean to each other. I can't say enough good things about this book. Katy Evans has amazing talent with the written word. Five stars isn't enough for this book!

There are fears in your life that neither you nor any man on this Earth can spare you from. Fears so deeply entrenched, there is no corner in your soul to hide, no way of escaping them. They grab you, own you, squeeze the life out of you, until you wake up sweating in the middle of the night, in tears, and you're frantic to touch the ground beneath you because you still feel like you're falling...and falling...a never-ending drop. Until a painfully hard surface breaks your fall. That hard surface, for me, is Tahoe Roth. In LADIES MAN, the third book in the Manwhore series, author Katy Evans has given us another of her signature alpha men with a complex and enigmatic back story. Tahoe Roth is the consummate ladies' man. Larger than life, he works hard and plays hard, attracting women effortlessly, refusing to be tied down by any of them. Like a moth to the flame, Gina finds herself as drawn to him as the others, even while knowing that he is no good for her. This book is rife with sexually charged scenes, and, I am telling you, they will leave you hot, bothered, and in search of a fan and a new set of panties (Two words: outdoor shower. Gah!). LADIES MAN fairly sizzles with the chemistry between Tahoe and Gina, two people that, despite their best intentions, cannot stay away from each other. Watching them find their uneasy way to each other is like a delicious unwrapping, one step at a time, something that Katy has often used in her writing, and which drives me crazy in the best possible way. I love the evolution of the relationship between Tahoe and Gina, the way that they bring out the best in each other, even while calling what they have anything other than what it is becoming. The scenes between the two of them, even when they're doing nothing but spending time together as friends, are palpably emotional and just plain hot. This book is an easy 4.5 stars for me. The story grabbed me immediately, and I found myself completely invested in both Gina and Tahoe, not wanting to stop reading until I got my answers. LADIES MAN is a definite must-read, and will have you alternately wanting to cheer, yell, throw your book, and grab a cold shower. Do yourself a favor, and do not wait to snap this book up right now. I guarantee that you will not be sorry.

Loved Ladies Man!!! Ladies Man is the third book in the Manwhore series but can be read as a standalone. Tahoe and Gina are friends, really close friends. She wants them to be more than friends, but Tahoe doesn't believe he is good enough for Gina. While fighting their attraction and their chemistry, Gina and Tahoe try to move on with their lifes, being just friends. But for how long will they be able to fight the inevitable? Ladies Man is an amazing book. The story is captivating and hooked me from the first page. It has lots of drama, laughter, and sexy scenes. I couldn't stop reading! Tahoe's and Gina's journey takes the reader in a rollercoaster ride of emotions and it's a ride you'll not want to miss! I loved the chemistry and banter between Tahoe and Gina and how their relationship blossomed. Gina is fantastic! She has been burned before by love. She now puts on a mask to hide herself. She hides behind her makeup but just wants someone to accept her as she is. She is so relatable that I couldn't help but cheer for her. Tahoe... Oh Tahoe! He is so hot and yummy! He is an alpha male and a ladies man. But there is more to him. He loved and lost and now believes he isn't good enough for anyone, especially Gina. He is so sweet and made me swoon several times. I couldn't help but fall for him! Once again, Katy Evans wrote a phenomenal book, with a captivating story and awesome characters. The story and characters are very well written and are very relatable. Katy's writing style is very flawless, making the connection with the characters and the story very easy. Now I really need to read Rachel and Saint's story in Manwhore , Manwhore +1, and Ms. Manwhore !

I absolutely LOVED the Manwhore books so I was super excited when I found out Tahoe was getting his own book. Of course I dived right in and wasn't disappointed. There's plenty of snarky banter that had me laughing but also times when it gets hot and other times there's deep emotions. It was all well rounded into one awesome story that I couldn't put down. Tahoe and Regina already have a friendship when the story starts since their best friends are married. However, as the story progresses their relationship grows stronger but was also strained at times as they try to deal with personal demons and fight their attraction to each other. I loved both of these characters. They both have strong personalities, have a great sense of humor, and are loyal. They're also both vulnerable but have dealt with that in different ways. They compliment each other and I loved getting to follow along in their journey. As with every one of Katy Evans' books, I was drawn in right away and swept up in the story. I had no problem reading this in one go. The story flowed really smoothly and it felt like I was moving right along with Regina as she navigates her life and her feelings for Tahoe. I loved every word of this book and can't wait to read more from this amazing author! 5 out of 5 stars!!!!

Be forewarned Ladies Man is not your normal Katy Evans book. She has added a whole new element to this book that will wow and entice her readers. It was definitely not what I was expecting. But that's why the author gets to write. They know the characters and the know what works. Katy Evans delivered everything I didn't know I wanted and needed in Tahoe's book. The title actually plays into a quite quippy antithesis to this book by the end and it's very refreshing to see a so much emotion, intensity and love (both friendly and romantic) played out the way it did. In doing so, Ms. Evans has made a standout book. She put everything we wanted just out of reach until I was just screaming "Get on with it already" but the wait was SO well worth it. Tahoe and Gina are first and foremost, friends. For specific reasons on each side they don't know that it's worth it, or even workable, to move beyond that. Yet, the chemistry that is constantly simmering beneath every interaction tells an entirely different story. However, this book is all about the right time. The right understanding. And the acceptance that if they are right for each other, they'll be there at the end of every single day for one another until the time is right. This book will stick with me. I can tell you that right now. I almost feel like their story isn't finished. Like I need more of it. But that's not to say that the ending wasn't more than satisfying, because it was, but theirs is a story I could read about for years and probably never get tired of. There is so much that was explored, and that's where this book gets a #winning. You experience every aspect of what Tahoe and Gina's relationship WILL be like with them not actually in one for the better part of the book. You get the feels, the comfort, the being there, the sparks, the everything. So there's no doubt that it will work out, and I think that's an incredibly inventive way to present this story. The friendship that they have throughout is something that most would kill for. They are each other's concrete. I'm sure I'm babbling and not making near enough sense, but just read the damn book. Nothing and no one will be able to appropriately prepare for what you'll read, but that's what makes it a fantastic book. I can't put my finger on it, but it's got a spot on my keeper shelf . Happy Reading! *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*
