    Incomplete

The spelling errors and typos are so bad, it made me wonder if they had been put in on purpose. Entire pages had been turned into unreadable strings of gibberish. In one spot, the word "you" was misspelled as "yoa" four times in a row.

But I had been expecting this from previous free nook books I have gotten from Barnes and Noble. What I wasn't expecting, was that part three would be missing completely. An entire 1/3 of the book, is not included. I had to look it up online to figure out why it seemed to end on a cliffhanger.

While I understand that I get what I paid for, I am deeply disappointed that B&N would offer sub-par material on their site, without any kind of warning about the incomplete nature of the book.

    Agree with previous reviewer

This book has too many typos that I couldn't tell if this is just volume II. For certain, volume III is missing. I'd prefer that incomplete books be deleted from B&N's library, even if they are free.

This edition is riddled with typos!

A must-read story for lovers of Victorian fiction, but I'd recommend another version. This Barnes and Noble publication has so many typos it's distracting!

    Too verbose

Sentences are so long that the subject is ,sometimes, lost. Probably, a good story line.

Braddon doesn't hold a candle to Jane Austin! TEDIOUS! Never has anyone said so little with so many words, even given the approved-style of the Victorian era. I don't recommend it!

    Surprisingly good book

This book was an enjoyable read. The sudden disappearance of a man causes his very dear friend to go on a relentless and tireless search for him. The author did a good job unraveling the mystery. It would be interesting to compare Lady Audley to Wilkie Colins main female character in the woman in white. Both characters are strong female characters but this author goes beyond that by trying to show how manipulative and deceitful the character lady audley is. The author also blends in some social commentary which I think added depth to the story. I truly loved the ending line of the book. I recomend!

    great book

This is a really good book, very suspenseful. It makes you want to keep on reading. I had to read this book for my British Literature class and the whole class found it very good.
