I was not turned off by the sexual deviancy, as I believed I was getting a book of that nature. However, when the story got really good and the captives could have triumphed and the cult moved further underground....it literally said "The End". I kept hitting my nook like there had to be more pages. This could have opened a whole new series in itself. DARN SHAME!!!!!!

I pick this book up and finished with in 3 hours. It is a book that opens your eyes to the sexual deviances of a world that we close our eyes to, yet out of this world finds two people who cling to each other to find forgiveness and strength to carry on after the atrocities that are carried out on them. It is graphic in one particular scene but it is needed to go along with the story line and it shows that the human spirit cannot be broken unless you cower and allow yourself to become the victim and stay the victim. It is a good book and you need to read it to understand Saxonhurst, but it is not my favorite in the series. Only a short mention of the Archangels, not like the past novels with dialogue and interaction of all characters involved (wives and Angels). It is a good book Shirl Anders writes well and sucks you in from the very beginning until you realize you are at the end and thirsting for more.

This isn't your normal Regency "ruined lady" story. This is a story of love found in the darkest of circumstances. Kidnapped, chained, forced to have sex for a perverted cult. . . Not for the faint of heart, certainly, the story contains unwilling participants, yet somehow maintains an eroticism throughout.

I was really looking forward to Saxon's story, not anymore this was just to disturbingly weird.

A warning would helped. exhibitionism, bondage, Anal sex, oral sex, m/m/f, rape
I liked the previous books in the Archangel series. This is very different. Saxon and Joelle were kidnapped for a sexual ritual. After a couple of the forced sexual encounters, I skimmed the book for the archangels. No archangels. Deleting this book from my nook library and not buying the last book of the series.

this was fine up until the very end. the ending was so abrupt and inconvlusive. Do they stop the cult? Do they get away safe...what happened??? All the previous installments of this series were good reads, very hot and well rounded. This one just fell short on all counts.
