Overview

Lady Knight is a medieval adventure crammed with action, emotion, and the atmosphere of Old England.

Roguishly handsome and almost as reckless, Sir Matthew Cameron of the King's Royal Guard blunders upon a raven-haired warrior named Pet who instantly captivates him with her fierce sense of justice. Consumed with revenge against the renegades who murdered her entire family, her cold indifference to Matthew intrigues him. Not accustomed to rejection, he vows to make her his own at any cost--even to her.

With her help he defeats the gang and turns his bold advances on her. His rash shenanigans only prove to push her further away. He is relentless, however, and she softens--just enough to make him want more.

When a staggering opportunity presents itself, Matthew seizes it and forces the beautiful Pet to marry him against her wishes. He realizes too late his selfish act, threatening to alienate him from his family and do the one thing he never sought--emotionally destroy his wife. Only he can renew her crushed spirit, by bringing her home to his family castle and confessing his bond of love for the brave, courageous girl he desperately cherishes.

All I can say is if you love historical romance you must read this trilogy!!!! I have had this book and the two others in the series for a long time now. I have read them over and over. You won't be disappointed, trust me.

I have to sound like a broken record and echo the other reviews. I got this book by accident (best accident I ever had) and started to read it when I went to bed. Suddenly I realized it was after midnight and I wasn't even tired. I just wanted to keep reading. I almost called in sick the next day. I recommend you start this book on a weekend. This author has accomplished something the other romance writers has not--she has developed believable characters that aren't fluffy stupid women. This book is the first of the trilogy that introduces the Cameron family, a rich and powerful family with three sons, Matthew, Luke and Paul. The follow-up books, Lady Seer and Lady Blue are about the other two brothers. LAdy Knight introduces Pet, a strong female fighter that loses her twin in the opening chapter. MAtthew, a bumbling knight, stumbles upon her and decides she will be his. I won't ruin the story, but you need to know this is one of the best books in the medieval genre I have read.

Finally I read a book that kept me going from the first sentence until the end! I was very disappointed to have finished the book! It was FABULOUS! I really enjoyed Pet. She was an inspiration! Really put a woman in the right place! Please write MORE!!!! Cant wait until you do!

Good Grief, I could not put this book down. It grabbed me from the first sentence and kept me glued to the pages until my eyes began to cross. I read it in one sitting, if you don¿t count the little nap I had to take when I realized I hadn¿t slept in 24 hours! This author is harmful to your health! Seriously, this is a wonderful book with a great heroine that is not some little fluffy girl, quite the opposite, she is strong and secure. Until this bumbling knight accidentally (?) rips off her top, and the adventure begins! You will love this book. I am now a BIG Evangelynn Stratton fan!

While I was in Korea for three months with no TV or anything to keep me company at night, I read this book. I cried, laughed and even yelled at the characters a few times. This book is great! When you finish, you're glad that there are two more.

I couldn't put this book down. It got me hooked from the first chapter. I read all three books in the trilogy, and I highly recommend them all.

I couldn't put the book down! The characters were so real. The story kept me reading for hours at a time. Can hardly wait to read the other books in the series. Also very historical.

I bought this book with no knowledge of the author or the type of writing she does. I was wonderfully surprised! This is a great book. I couldn't put it down! I understand that this is book one of a trilogy, and I can't wait to read the next one. I am now a fan.

I especially loved the characters in this book. Ms. Stratton brings them to life and never lets them drop out of character like some books do. No fluff in this book. I was up all night and couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the rest of the trilogy.

This book really had me going. I'm so glad I took a chance. (I just thought the cover was cool - the story was even better!)

What do you get when you add *real* historical facts with realistic characters and a whole lot of action, romance, and scenery? Lady Knight by Evangelynn Stratton. This book gets you involved on the first page, and doesn't let you down. I'm really looking forward to the next book.

I honestly stayed up all night reading Lady Knight by Evangelynn Stratton - this is something that no other book has ever made me do. My husband thought I was nuts, so I made him read it - now we are BOTH looking forward to the rest of the trilogy!

I don't normally like romance novels. I loved this one. Besides an excellent romance, it has action and a real live plot! The setting is historically accurate and obviously well-researched. In short, a book that is hard to put down. Even for a romance-hater like me.
