    If you like Steam Punk you'll love this one.

    If anyone had told me I would enjoy this genre before reading it I would have laughed. I find myself enjoying this strange mixture of technology and past history. This book is entertaining and thought provoking. Loved it!

    Entertaining!

    Excellent Book, but FAR too short!!

    The characters are fully fleshed out, the plot is good and moved at a perfect pace, the steam punk wasn't quite explained enough, but I'm okay wtih that, there were NO zombies (not sure why they are standard steam punk fare but I prefer the books without that ingredient) and the story was great!! I give it four out of five stars because it was so SHORT!!! I got to page 122 and it suddenly was over! What the....???? It wasn't an inappropriate ending, it just was too short a book. The ending made sense and set up the next book, I just wanted there to be more of THIS book!! Please write the sequel as fast as you can without, of course, compromising any of the quality. :D MUST READ IT NOW!!!!! Please tell us it will be this year or early next year that the sequel will be ready and that there will be multiple sequels afterwards! If you like Gail Carringer, or a lighter Meljean Brooks or O. M. Grey, you will certainly enjoy this book and avidly anticipate the next in the series! Thank you for a great book Ms. Adina, and keep 'em comin'!!!!

    Great Novel by Shelley Adina!

    I loved this book! Shelley Adina is a new author to me, and I picked up LADY OF DEVICES because the cover is so fantastic and the back cover blurb intriguing. Incredible heroine. And you can't help but cheer on the secondary characters. Very well done!

    Good Book

    This is a very intreging book, Good characters and well written. The reason I only gave 4 stars was the fact it stops in the middle of the excitment and the follow up book is $4.99. This was only $.99. Not fair.

    This is my 4th book in the Steampunk books. I really enjoyed the book and the ending I know is a lead in to the next book. I was very dissappointed to find the sequel was $4.99 where the teaser was $.99. I would not mind paying $2.99 for the sequel but the asking proce is a bit much.

    Not bad for Part I

    One the one hand this was pretty interesting. This was my first steampunk novel, so I was not sure what to expect. The author does a good job setting up the situations, but the payoff tends to get lost. For example we get a lot of detail about how she gets into distress, but in detailing the climbing out process, we just find her up and out, without any detail.

    I read this on my nook, and was surprised when it ended. My guess is that she wrote one book, which was truncated into two. Good strategy. I will definitely read part II, Her Own Devices.
