This was a short book I literally read in less than 3 hours but I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down. I haven't read much by this writer but after this book I'm going to. It was that good. Amanda and Phillip are two completely different people but are perfect together. Amanda is this woman who grows up in Malibu with a attires mother who wants her to be an actress too. Amanda is timid and someone who just wants to do her best and find herself and what she wants. She puts up with a lot but loves with her whole heart. Philip is a strong, sweet, and a guy with a plan. Everything has to go according to plan and on schedule and that's why he is engaged to a delusional psycho woman. He finally comes to his senses and realizes love comes when you least expect it and you can't plan it around your schedule. The end is the hottest part because when they finally come together and don't hold back they just collide with passion and it's extremely hot. I definitely recommend this book if you like realistic love stories that have passion and desire and that hook you from the first page. So pick it up today!

A sweet love story and hot chemistry! Where do I find that? In Laguna Dreams, you will find a beautiful woman, a caring man and hot chemistry with sparks flying. This is the first book I have read from Kaira Rouda, but I will be finding more and reading them. I read this book cover to cover in a little under 3 hours. It is amazing. I love the characters, the settings that seemed so real and the story will stay with me. Amanda Crown, a young woman being smothered by her mother’s celebrity status decides to break away from the life she has known her whole life and move to upstate California to pursue a career in the wine industry. Phillip Kensington, a wine maker from a long line of vineyard owners, was engaged to a woman named Kelsey, whom was becoming more and more like his nightmare than dream wife. When Phillip ran into Amanda on an LA sidewalk, she was smelly and dirty, running from the set of her mother’s soap opera, where she worked as an unpaid intern. She had made her mind up to leave the acting business because it wasn’t for her. She tripped and fell on the sidewalk, where Phillip found her. Sparks flew instantly for the pair and they couldn’t deny the attraction. Kelsey blew in like a bad tornado and ruined their moment, however, it didn’t dull their memories of that fateful day. Fast forward a month and Amanda is loving her new job in wine country when Phillip, who is also the son of the owners, walks in to observe the new tasting host. To his surprise, Amanda walks into the room. Destiny and fate were playing with his emotions. He had recently ended his engagement and now the woman he couldn't get out of his head was right in front of him. Would this story play out like they want or would Kelsey, the former fiance, ruin their chances at true happiness? This story is amazing and it flows so well. Kaira Rouda has definitely grabbed my attention and I will be reading more of her books!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Laguna Dreams by Kaira Rouda, the fifth book of her Laguna Beach series. Ms. Rouda truly knows how to create a sweet story between two people with one needing to figure out what they desire to do with their life, without her mother’s influence and the other learning to live life exclusive of following a self imposed schedule or plan. There’s all of this while these two find love along the way despite many obstacles, including a crazy ex. I love that a group of friends who are supportive of their friend were created, no matter how difficult things might be for that character. I think my favorite part of this book was Phillip chasing after Amanda when she went home the weekend he was supposed to get married. The fact that he dropped all of his responsibilities to do this and that he fit right in with her friends, showed how much he loved her. I was bother by the bizarre behavior his ex-fiancé and wondered why he waited so long to file a restraint order against her. This was a fun and entertaining story with loveable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written, authentic and complex. I highly recommend this book to all readers. I truly enjoyed this book and had trouble putting it down. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. Although this book is part of a series it is a standalone story. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Kaira Rouda has developed a series that takes drama and makes it lovable! Each book can be read as a standalone; however, I highly recommend starting with book one to get into the scene and her style of creating characters. Coming up on my 4th wedding anniversary this year, I can look back and laugh about how many episodes of shows about horrible brides I watched. Thankfully, I didn't become a terrible fiancee but goodness did Phillip have to deal with one! As fate would play out, in the middle of the madness, Phillip and Amanda meet. When the heart knows, it knows; however, the situations of the pair were not ideal to pursue the connection. Life returns to normal and both are still thinking of each other. Again, fate comes into play when it's discovered that Amanda is working at a winery owned by Phillip's parents. Seems like things would fall together easily, right? Of course not - it's a soap opera!! I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Amanda is tired of being forced to be her mother's puppet, and after an absolutely miserable day on the set she literally runs into the man of her dreams. He picks her up and she falls for him. Then she meets his fiancée. His super demanding, more than slightly crazy fiancée. So Amanda pushes the dream guy out of her head and finds her niche in life. She moves to Napa and finds a job that she loves. Until the day that she discovers that her boss' son is her dream guy. Once Phillip meets Amanda he sees his fiancée in a new light, and breaks it off with her. Only she doesn't believe him and continues planning their wedding. Can Phillip make it clear to her before he loses his chance with Amanda for good? What a sweet story this was. This was actually my first read by this author. I honestly think this story can be read as a standalone. Since I did not read the first 4 books I didn’t feel lost in this story. The story made me miss California and the beach. Even though I only lived in California for 6 months I missed it. Especially while reading this book. But, this was a sweet romance. I loved the characters in this book. Amanda and Philip were quite a pair. The plot was very well interesting and kept me reading till the last page. The details of this book is really good. Felt I was part in the story. I am looking forward to going back and reading the lat 4 books in the series and other Books as well. A job well done. Recommend to Romance readers. You won’t be disappointed. A great read for sure. I received a eARC to give a honest review.

This is definitely my favorite in this series (so far at least!) I can definitely relate to a domineering mother who always thinks she knows what is best for me! I was so happy when Amanda finally broke free to find herself--she really did not want to be an actress-nor was she cut out to be. I loved the way the story progressed--stranger helps girl--instant attraction--but he is engaged! Mother makes some phone calls (unbeknownst to Amanda)and she finally gets a job at a wine tasting vineyard. Turns out Phillip (the stranger) is the son of the owner and had been coerced into spying on the new hire. He also owns his own vineyard right next door to where Amanda is working. (Conspiracy of mothers?). But Phillip is still engaged and his fiance refuses to believe he broke up with her and causes all kinds of trouble!!! I really think you will enjoy this one. It can be read as a stand alone with no problem.

I have loved the characters in Kaira Rouda's Laguna Beach-based novels from the first one I picked up. Add to that the fact any can be read as a standalone and I am truly always reaching for one of these books to read. This particular book takes you away from Laguna Beach and up into Northern California and the wine country. I have a cousin who lives in wine country and it is a beautiful place. I love reading about life set in this area. I also can appreciate the small town setting that is wine country. While it may be a huge tourist attraction, it is, without a doubt, some of the smallest towns I have ever been in. I truly admire Amanda for wanting to strike out on her own. I never did that after college. I went right from college to marriage. To pack up and leave home for an area you are unfamiliar with and a job you have never done before takes guts. Amanda shows those guts in doing just that. I think we should all pick up a copy of Laguna Dreams and see if we can put some of the practices in this book into our own lives. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Loved, loved this story of Amanda and Phillip. An accidental meeting between the two, changes their lives forever. Not expecting to meet again, Phillip is engaged. to an evil person, bridezilla to say the least. Amanda needs a change in her life, so she takes a job at the winery. upon having a tasting she soon finds out Phillip is the son of the owners. The sparks are still there, and Amanda soon finds out their is a broken engagement. Will their dreams come true? With the backdrop of the gorgeous Laguna Beach and winery, it will make you want to move there. I highly recommend this book, it is a part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. My only recommendation is to e sipping on a glass of wine while reading this book.

Yet another part of a series that can be read as a stand alone, Kaira Rouda has hit it out of the park with Amanda and Phillip's story. I knew that this would be one of those books that once I started it, I wouldn't want to put it down, so I started it on a day that I knew I had nothing planned and finished it the next morning. I'm so bad about finishing books so quickly, but I just can't help it! I get so drawn into books, I don't guess it's a bad thing though. Phillip's ex-fiancee is something else. She's not a lying woman, but man she sure seemed like a conniving little woman, definitely NOT someone that I would like. I can see why Phillip would want to end things with her. She's straight up CRAZY!! More on this craziness later. One thing I really enjoy about this series is the fact that though it is a part of a series, you don't have to have read the previous books in order to know what's going on because they are also stand-alones. The book starts out with Amanda and a scene on a day-time soap opera (which I think would be SO much fun - especially if its my favorite!) however, it's just not what Amanda wants to do with her life. Her mom is the star of the soap, though, so she gets Amanda these parts. After an accident, Amanda just gets fed up, runs (not really runs - more walks) away from the set and Phillip runs into her after she's had an accident and helps her out. Once she finds out he's engaged, she repays him the money he loaned her (because she left her purse, insurance cards and all identification at the recording studio) but just can't get him out of her head. Fast forward a few months, and we find out he can't stop thinking about her. She has since moved to Wine Country in Northern California and has gotten a job at a winery. Unbeknownst to her, Phillip's parents own the winery. I'm not a fan of giving away what is going to happen in book reviews that I write, so I'm going to just stop right there and tell you that if you want to know whether Phillip and Amanda get together and stay together then you need to read this book!

Amanda Crown had had enough of her mother pushing her to be an actress like her. Amanda had no desire in acting, and had reached her breaking point. It was then that she met Phillip Kensington. There was immediate attraction between them, except for the fact that Phillip was engaged. Amanda decides to make a career change, move to Napa Valley to get out from under her mother, and try working in the wine industry. Before long, she again runs into Phillip, and that’s when her world gets turned upside down again. This was a sweet romance that fit in well with the rest of the Laguna stories. Amanda and Phillip offset each other perfectly, with her cute clumsiness and his straight laced handsomeness. They were bound to get together. And it was fun catching up with the rest of the Laguna gang.

I was excited to hear that the Laguna Series was continuing, though with a different group of characters who are all connected the ones in the first 4 books. Laguna Dreams gives us Amanda Crown and Phillip Kensington story - we first met Amanda when her best friend Jamie started dating Scott, famous for his role in the reality TV show Laguna Nights with his high school friends and who now works on the set of the TV show Days & Nights owned by Amanda's mother Alexa Crown. For the record you don't need to have read books 1-4, as this is easily a stand alone but to get a feel for the characters I would advise it. After getting in a situation whilst filming a scene for the show that involved bathing a dog, Amanda (who has no desire to become an actress), storms out of the studio and keeps on walking only to trip and fall at the feet of Phillip Kensington. There is a moment between then unsaid that leads to Amanda heading home to the house in Laguna and telling her mother she is moving out and going to Wine Country and Phillip ending is engagement to his fiance Kelsey!! Now months have passed by and neither have seen each other since that day but both their lives are very different. Amanda has indeed moved out and is working on a Winery in the Sonoma Valley and loving every minute of her independence and working live, she has never met the owners and Francis has announced one day that the son of the owners will be visiting to see if Amanda is up to speed for the upcoming season. Lo and behold the son is none other than Phillip. There is no denying the spark between them but for intents and purposes he is technically still engaged to Kelsey who refuses to accept it is over. After a date that sees Kelsey walking on them Amanda heads home for the weekend leaving Phillip to deal with her. Philip realises what he needs to do and so turns up at the Laguna beach house and he and Amanda share a weekend of passion fuelled by the undeniable spark and connection that they have. They are perfect together and though things moved really quick it is clear that it was love at first sight for both of them, just circumstances that kept them apart in the beginning. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for more in this series! I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Behind the beauty of the location, lies the drama of real life. Living the celebrity life does not a fairytale make. Laguna Dreams takes readers behind the spotlight and into reality with the drama, insecurities and heartache that drives the life of people who seem to have it all, but know something is missing. Amanda longs for a chance to live out her dreams without the suffocating shadow of her mother's hopes. Phillip thought he was living the dream. A successful career, a beautiful fiancee but sometimes dreams and people change. The girl of his dreams, has turned into a nightmare and the love of his life turns out to be a stranger he just met. With drama like this, who needs soap operas. Ms. Rouda continues to surprise, delight and write dramedies that are fresh, entertaining and unforgettable.

Amanda is not having a good day... She is an extra in her mom's television series and is seriously having second thoughts on this job. Phillip is engaged to be married and after knowing his wife-to-be more closely is also having seconds thoughts on his engagement. They met in the most unique way and here starts a love story that is so sweet and sexy that you cannot leave this book until the end. The Laguna series is always a reference for good books and this one is not exception. Phillip and Amanda's story is full of love, sexy scenes and an encounter between these two troubled souls.
