Excellent read This is Annie and Hanks story. You go between now an ten years ago whe. They met. This was a very good story and keeps in a good story of what happens with characters in time. Kaira Rouda really knows how to keep you guessing and interested in the storyline. This was a great read.

Following on from my review of the previous book (Laguna Nights) this one hit the spot .. I had been looking forward to finding out more about Annie, Madison's friend & I wasn't disappointed. A lot more depth .. the story flits between now & her earlier life which I found a little disconcerting to begin with but once you get used to the writing style it actually eases understanding. Annie was also a tv reality star & something that happened in her past is threatening to spoil her future .. this is a shorter book but in my opinion packs in a lot more emotion, tension & enjoyment. It just goes to show how things can catch up with us & is an impressive account of living with abuse & overcoming it with help from friends/family. I'm curious to see if the next in the series lives up to this one! Thanks to the author & Pump Up Your Book Tours for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

I have one problem with the book…it ended!! This is the second in the Laguna Heights series and it was fantastic (even thought I read number three before this one, which is great because you don’t have to read them in order). I love the series. Author Kaira Rouda has really written a great series. This book is about Annie and Hank who are happily married with two kids and one on the way. The book goes back and forth in today’s time and Annie’s past. Something happened in Annie’s past that she has been very secretive about that could destroy her happiness when Chris suddenly shows up. The book has love and heartache in it and a few tears. Rouda does a great job of describing the characters and I like the method of going from the past to the present. As I said the only problem was the book ended. I enjoyed it so much I wanted it to continue. There was so much more that could go on with Annie and Hank.

In this book we delve into Annie's past, and we wonder if the secret she's been keeping will ruin her marriage. When I started reading this book I had given myself 2-3 days to slowly read it. I read it in 3 hours, I just couldn't put it down. I loved how in this book we learn about Annie's past and her present. Annie and Hank seem to have the ideal life, marriage, kids, and a home in Laguna Beach. Then Annie's secret comes back to haunt her and I started wondering whether or not Hank would stand by Annie. Have I peaked your interest yet? Want to know what Annie's secret is...grab a copy of your own and find out. Trust me you won't regret it. I did receive this product discounted or free of charge in exchange for a review, however all opinions are 100% honest based on my own experience.

What a wonderful continuation of the story line. This time is has to do with Laura and Scott's relationship or should I say non-relationship. Laura finally decide that Hollywood is not her town, Scott decides that he is looking for other things and Laura is going home to Laguna for a baby shower and gets into a car accident caused by someone else and Paul comes out to rescue her. This is a wonderful story and I don't want to give to much away. I can't wait for #4

**I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.** I just loved book one in the series Laguna Nights, and in that we meet Annie - she came across being such a sweet, nice girl that when I started this book I wasn't expecting her story to be how it was. This plays out in the present where she is married to Hank and has children. and also 10 years ago when she had finished with high school and the tv series and was now at Uni. She is used to being recognised and when she meets Chris it is no different, Their relationship progresses very, very quickly and actually from the first moment we meet him I instantly thought he was bad news. And boy was I right! I don't want to spoil the story but sweet Annie went through such a horrendous time with Chris and it became clear that he was in fact a stalker. When she finally managed to break free from him she meets Hank. He helps her deal with the Chris situation, but there was a secret she was even keeping from Hank. I felt the ending was a little rushed, but it was more an epilogue of points that happened after the finally confrontation with Chris -**(I just re-read the last chapter and I guess it was the best way to play it out or else Kaira could have gone on and on :) (in a good way!)** This was an entirely different story from book one and I absolutely loved the fact that I wasn't expecting this to be how Annie's story played out. It had me hooked from the very beginning and I read it in a few hours as I just couldn't put it down. 5 stars!

It 's a compelling novel, romantic but with intrigue, secrets, twists. The author hooks me from the start. As soon as I started reading this one, I could not put it down, I have read it in one afternoon. Annie's life had been serene, perfect, with wonderful parents, great friends and a fun and profitable experience in Laguna Nights, the famous reality show for kids. Until college she had met Chris. A handsome and charming guy but very violent. She has lived a nightmare with him and when she seems to be rid of him realizes she was mistaken ..... Laguna Heights is the second book in this series and can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone novel. The protagonists of books in the series have in common of having participated in the reality show "Laguna Nights" when they were in high school. Annie is the best friend of Madison, the protagonist of the first episode. I look forward to reading the third. It 's a short but intense reading, engaging, light but by no means trivial. It's beautifully written and the characters had so much depth that you felt as though you knew them. The storyline flowed perfect and the pace is really fast, thanks to the continuous jumps between past and present. I have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

This book is book 2 in the Laguna Beach series. In this book we learn more about Annie and her past. Our past always has a way of coming back to haunt us no matter how much we try to leave it buried. Our past experiences define us as to the person we currently are today. This is very true for Annie. Annie hasn’t had many relationships in her life. She met her husband Hank in college. The man she dated before Hank is Chris. Chris is/was very abusive. I fell in love with this book and couldn’t put it down. The story just flows and I found myself caught up into how Annie was feeling. I’ve been in abusive relationships myself. They leave a lasting effect on you. I can’t wait to read book 3. I received this book for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.

I read Laguna Nights (Book 1) of this series earlier this year and fell in love with it - it became one of my go-to books for when I wanted to escape to the paper version of reality TV. After the craziness of book 1, I couldn't wait to see what Kaira Rouda had cooked up for Annie and Hank like she did with Madison (Holly) and Josh. Annie and Madison were best friends in school and on the hit show, Laguna Nights. I love the display of their friendship!! Even though Annie is the "nice girl", she has some skeletons in her closet that would be devastating to her family and marriage if they fell out. Life is perfect - a loving marriage and beautiful kids; but as fate would have it, a wrench is thrown in the mix. Chris, Annie's old boyfriend (controlling/crazy one at that) shows up and continues to prove that he's no good for Annie. He threatens to destroy the perfect life that she's created. I was FURIOUS that he would do this to Annie and her family. This book encourages couples to have a full, open line of communication despite how difficult the past may be. I mostly felt bad for Hank. He is such a wonderful, supportive husband and I didn't want to see him pushed to his breaking point. My heart broke for both Annie and Hank! If you haven't read Laguna Nights, I recommend checking it out to get a little background information! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Kaira Rouda delivers Annie's story, another alum of the Laguna Nights reality tv show in Laguna Beach. Annie is living an easy going life with her children and husband Hank, when she is faced with her past. Throwing her in a spin, Annie is support by her mother and friend but needs to depend on her husband to continue to live her life. This is an intense installment, where while it was a quick read, I was glad that it did not labour on, as it deals with heavy issues. This story deals with the realities of what some experience in their life and continually deal with just to carry on, excellent job bringing these matters to light.

"And the truth shall set you free" - I don't know who first coined this phrase but this book proves just how right it is. All or at least most of us made mistakes when we were younger--did things we are now not so proud of--dated the wrong people but came away stronger and with our psyches in one piece. Not so Annie--she was so traumatized and embarrassed it took many years for the whole truth to come out. This novel delves into Annie's college years where she met a man she thought she loved--then met the man she truly loved. Stalkers can be frightening and Annie's ex was definitely one and a frightening one at that. Luckily Hank understood and they ultimately got married. Then that fateful day when a man banged on Annie's car window as she was ready to drive home from grocery shopping----it was the demon from her past come to haunt her once again! Will Annie and Hank's ideal and happy marriage be able to withstand the secret that Annie has been hiding all these years? Read the book and you will find out!!

Annie and Hank are the happy couple that their Laguna Nights friends strive to be, but Annie has a secret that could destroy their future. Annie and Hank have a beautiful family and lots of friends, seemingly the perfect life. But when Annie's past surfaces will their family survive? I really enjoyed reading Annie and Hank's story (and having it tie in to Laguna Nights). My only complaint is that I enjoyed them so much that I wish this was a full length novel, not a novella! You can definitely read Laguna Heights alone, but you'll love it even more if you read Laguna Nights first. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.
