It's such a pleasure to find a book that allows you to immediately use it to save time and money. The advice on the car insurance alone, (and I didn't have to switch carriers) saved me over $500. I also really liked the chapter on scams because now I can spot them and not waste my time.
This book made getting organized and setting up my strategy so easy and it took a lot of the fear out of unemployment, especially since, due to my being out of the country the previous year, even though I was laid off, I could not collect unemployment. Something about control months. I needed money fast and I bought the book (digital format) for the chapter on making money while unemployed and using four of the ideas I've managed to make enough money to keep a roof over my head and pay the bills without unemployment and without a job. I am always referring back to it.
There is nothing easy about losing your job, especially if you're in a specific income bracket but Laid Off Now What at least made the transition somewhat painless and saved me hours, no weeks of wasted time and aggravation. I've also found the author helpful because she actually responds to questions if you email them to her so that made me feel not quite so alone. Everyone can benefit from this book whether unemployed or just trying to figure out ways to save money now or change careers.
