Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
Rob Scorah for Classic Cars, December 2007
UK magazine

This book offers a compact and useful history of a car that dominated the World Rally Championship between 1987 and 1992 and proved itself a formidable onroad performer too. In around 200 pages, the volume covers both road and competition versions, prefacing each racing season with a section on that year's road car. There are 400 well-chosen photographs as well as appendices on Delta collectables and racing statistics.

Fleet Transport, December 2007
Irish magazine

'The Story of a Champion' is the subtitle of this 208 page tribute to the Lancia Delta HF Integrale by Werner Blaettel and Gerhard D. Wagner. Famed for its successful exploits on the World Rally Championship stages, if there was one Lancia to achieve cult status it was the HF Integrale. Featuring no less than 400 spectacular photographs, this book covers the cars' exceptional rally success as well as its appeal as a road car.

Full rally results featuring the six successive World Rally Championships (1987-1992) are also featured together with an exhaustive list of technical specifications make this hardback a must for any rally enthusiast.

CarSport, October 2007-UK magazine

The Lancia Delta Integrale remains the most successful rally car ever with six world rally championship titles (1987-1992). This new book, translated from German, covers the development of the Delta from the banning of the Gp B Delta S4 to the HF4WD, Integrale and Evoluzione. The Integrale rally car was rarely rallied in Ireland, but the road car was very popular and many superb examples are still a regular sight at shows and track days. Even Eddie Irvine has a Gialla (Yellow) special edition model in his collection.

There are over 400 photos, most never published here before and a complete guide to the road and rally cars and complete results.

The authors are keen to trace any remaining Integrales, especially rally cars and they can be contacted at deltachassis@gmx.net.

Review from Track & Race Cars magazine, June 2008

Circulation: 250,000

The six times World Champion rally car, Lancia Delta HF Integrale had a quick rise to success and this book offers each technical detail that took it and kept it there. Consistently winning the championship from 1987-1992, 6 championships in a row, this car had success that is almost unrepeatable. With wonderful photos and almost every inch of the cars development detailed it’s hard to pick out many bad points about the book. A must-have for rally fans wanting the full Lancia Delta history.
