Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Grandpa Longneck has finished telling a story to Littlefoot and his friends. They are thrilled. Suddenly, another Longneck appears, and it is Saro, Grandpa's old friend. He asks Grandpa to once again head out into the world as a Story Speaker to keep the traditions alive and pass them along to the next generation. Grandpa Longneck is not willing, all he desires is to stay at home with his family. Saro leaves in anger, and Grandpa explains that he expected Saro to become the next story speaker. What a conundrum! Littlefoot and his friend Chomper decide to find Saro and convince him of his new role. There are many adventurers packed into this book, and they all have a happy outcome. The book is filled with what appear to be computer-generated stills from the TV series. While the story is engaging, fans of the series will probably get the most enjoyment from the book.
