    Well written book

This book is a little over 200 pages. I enjoyed the book and it was well written over all. The only thing that could have been better would be the relationship building between Jade and Eric.

A fun adventure even with its flaws

An adventure with a party of 4 fighting against ultimate evil, this story gradually pulls the reader in by first introducing several characters and then bringing them together. While this approach is confusing at first, the author does a good job of meshing the protagonists and showing their relationships to each other and the villains as the story progresses.

In much the same fashion as more famous adventures, the Hero is unaware of his abilities and even his purpose until well into the story. He gradually acquires a small party of adventurers to him, some friends and some strangers, and is more-or-less forced to start on his quest by a violent attack on the village where he lives. This is where the real adventure starts-earlier parts of the novel simply set up the situation and characters.

The actual writing is sometimes very good, but sometimes awkward, detracting from the rhythm of the plot. In addition, grammatical and syntax errors sometimes make the work confusing or difficult to read. A better job of editing and rewriting of some sections would make the story much more readable. Development of the individual characters personalities could also be stronger.

This is a Smashwords novel, and I have observed with other novels from this publisher that they do not appear to have a strong editorial approach. The story would definitely appear less amateurish and be worth another star with better editing.

Overall, and enjoyable novel with somewhat less than top quality writing. I hope the writer continues-his imagination is interesting-and works on improving the details.

I really loved the story and the premise behind it. It would have been a solid 5 stars if the characters were fleshed out a little more. Also the story jumped around a lot. It would just be getting good and boom of to another place or character. Which isnt really bad but frustrating some times. Still I highly recommend this storyline to everyone who loves a good fantasy action story with some romance added in. Look forward to the next book.

    Three and a half Stars?

So some parts of this book really got me; like the fight scenes were really well written, I could see it all hapening clearly in my head, which is usually hard for me, background and scenery also, I always had a clear picture of what was going on with out feeling weighed down by the script. On the other hand I just couldn't love the charecters, I didn't conect, their human side was to shallow and didn't keep up with their superhuman side. Regardless I may still try more as sometimes the conection takes time.

    Great

I really enjoyed this book and the character building. But just as the action started or the arc of the story it ended. I will get the next and hope there is a natural ending.
