Land of the Dying: Pilgrim

As Asha gazes back down the path she's come from, she considers all that's brought her here. The Sanctuary and the Convoy have shown her that survival is possible, but the cost was too great and having decided that safety is not good enough when it is at the expense of others; she must now try to navigate a dangerous world by her own rules. But chased by demons both figurative and literal, she and Nina have a long path ahead and an uncertain hope for the goal at its end. Will the world allow her the opportunity be something different to what she's seen in others? And what will be left of her if she's forced to compromise?

The second book in the Land of the Dying series, 'Pilgrim' explores the difficult journeys we all take in life against a backdrop that none of us will ever (hopefully) have to face. It explores the different people we meet on the way and the effect they can have on us. And once out the other side, it asks the question of who we've become and what course it will set us on when future problems arise.

About the Author

Chris Butler was born in 1985 and currently lives in the seaside town of Worthing, England. He studied Cybernetics and Electronic Engineering at university, but is currently making very little use of it by working in retail. In the spare time he’s not writing novels, he’s also training to be a preacher and is constantly hoping his books don’t sound ‘preachy’ as a result.
