Landscaping with Perennials

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal - Library Journal
This unusual volume combines practicality, common sense, imagination, and good taste while escorting the reader through the basics of creating a garden. Although it is attractive, with its nearly 500 line drawings and more than 140 full-color photographs, and is replete with information on more than 2000 perennials (trees and shrubs are excluded), the stress is on planning, using form, texture, color style, and mood, to arrive at just the right garden for the site and one's aesthetic needs. Extremely useful are the lists of plants for various situations and needs (e.g., woodland, border, grasses, subshrubs) within chapters and in the appendixes. Highly recommended.
