Doody's Review Service
Reviewer: Ann M Irvin, R.T.R.(Froedtert Hospital)
Description: This is an excellent resource for radiography student interns to use to prepare for the national registry. It poses a series of questions from each integral portion of radiography and covers all the units thoroughly. The previous edition was published in 2008.
Purpose: The purpose is to prepare radiography student interns for the national registry. It provides tips for taking the exam as well as helping students study for the exam.
Audience: This is a wonderful resource for students to use to fully prepare for the exam.
Features: All pertinent areas for a new radiographer are covered, using excellent questions and explanations. The illustrations are a little hard to read, with some clearer than others. Overall, the book does a fairly good job.
Assessment: This is the best book around to prepare interns for the exam. Each unit has 200 or more questions with explanations to each answer at the end. It needs to be updated regularly because the field is changing so fast.
