Romping Rumble With Raider

An exciting romping rumble with the always lovely Lara Croft in this novelization fo the first Tomb Raider movie. Closely following the movie of the same title with inserts from the film makes this an enjoyable work of words.

    awesome book

This book is about a girl who's father died over something that is very powerful. He was shot in the head by one of the jealous illuminati who wanted to take his place. Lara Croft is a tomb raider, that is when you take artifacts out of famous tombs, that is very strong. now she is trying to save the world with her tomb raiding skills. She is trying to get the all seeing eye after a lot of seaching she finds it. Now if you want to hear the ending you have to read the book yourself.

    A GREAT read

This book was great... if you`re into action and witty dialogue... and great characters... This is the book to read. It has all the elements to make a great story - it`s actually the type of story you can`t put down because it`s soooooo interesting... I read it before I saw the movie. I`m glad I did because I was able to understand what was going on in the movie more than others - I was able to get the `behind`story of Lara Croft - Tomb Raider ... Read it.

    A Must Read!

Well writen and full of action! Tomb Raider the novel is full of extra scenes not in the movie. This story is well balanced with a little bit of drama, love, comedy, mystery and science fiction to make it creative. This book is like an on going adventure. Once you pick it up, you'll never want to put it down!

    Great Read

I enjoyed the book more than the movie(the movie was still pretty good). I thought the book had more detail and witty dialogue than the movie. The movie excluded some events that took place in the book, which really added to the plot a bit. If you havent seen the movie yet I recommend reading the book first. It really adds to the movie. Your able to enjoy the eye candy instead of pondering over the plot of the film, which some people thought was hard to follow at points because of the lack of detail. The book also helps you to understand the characters and it describes them in more detail than the movie (especially Powell nad Alex West). Overall Lara Croft: Tomb Raider was and excellent read.

Lara Croft -A resurrected Goddess herself.

I bought the book 2days ago and in less than a total of 8hours I was done with it. I couldn't put it down. Knowing that Angelina is Lara Croft and picturing her acting every scene and line of the book, made me want to get to the end and enjoy every chapter of this filled with great action book. The story takes you to every corner of the story swinging you back and forth, as did Lara on those bungy ropes, without losing the spark of interest it first ignites. Not a big fan of action or guns and high-tech machinery, but can't wait to see Angelina Jolie as the Tomb Raider, couldn't have picked better performer for the part. If there wasn't any Lara Croft, I would have invented her and still pick Angelina to play the part. Great book, great story, hope great movie too.

Left me eager for the movie!

Long ago a meteor fell onto Earth with a magical, metallic form within it. Witnessing its power, it was forged into the (thought of) holy form of a triangle and a temple was formed to protect it. A city grew around the temple, The People of the Light were there. During an invasion, the nine planets aligned and the power of the Triangle was shown. Realizing no mortal should possess such power, the High Priest ordered it cut into two smaller triangles. One stayed at the temple. The other was hidden at the end of the Earth. However, the Craftsman who cut the Triangle in half secretly made a highly advanced device. It could serve as a guide to find the hidden piece, and preserve the Triangle's powers for future generations. It was a magic clock.

Lady Lara Croft was much like her father had been. Beginning with a clock he had hidden for her to find someday and tales he had told her as a child, she must set out to save the world. The Illuminati, a secret group of powerful people, were out to find the two triangle pieces before the planets aligned (which happened only once every 5,000 years). At her side was Mr. Hillary, her butler, and Bryce, her technician. Two tombs must be entered and survived or the world would belong to Manfred Powell.

***** I made that brief as possible, but left out much to do it. Even though the movie, as of now, has not been released, I can already tell that the book gives much more insight to Lara and the adventure in which she finds herself. However, many scenes have the potential to be much more vivid and exciting on the big screens! I found it to be a wonderful book! I plan to be in the theater, with a huge group of friends, on its first night out! *****
