We grew up very poor, in Southern Calif, when I was young. The only real music my parents could provide was listening to the radio. There was a local radio station that broadcast from Tijuana, Mex, that had a children's hour during midday. Apparently my parents had that program on everyday for us. The majority of the music and stories played were from CRI-CRI. He was still alive then. The songs are very humorous, funny, cute, sad, at times, but they all have a moral. This man was incredibly talented. I didn't know these CD's were available at Barnes & Noble until recently. I was amazed that I recognized the melodies and actually knew the lyrics! I was age one when he broadcast his last shows in 1961! I actually cried when I heard the songs for the first time again. What a treasure! Now my children, who speak only English, are learning the songs and speaking in Spanish! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
