Overview

Who will be the Last Minion Standing?

All I said was I needed a minion, the next thing I know, I'm embroiled in a reality show with cameras following me everywhere. I should have told them not to bother, as I was ready to declare a winner—and get naked—the moment I met Drake. Shirtless and shoeless, in low slung jeans, I could think of so many ways he could serve me—especially in bed.

But, Drake, the super sexy dragon shifter, is after more than a chance to work alongside me in my battle to capture evil souls, he also wants to win my heart. But love is for weaklings, and no matter how much he tortures me sexually, I will not give in, even when he resorts to restraints and flogging. Mmm, bring it on—harder please.

I’m not a fan of reality shows at all, but if there was one like this I would be glued to the television every week.  Sally is a half-demon who is essentially a bounty hunter for hell: she rounds up the escapees.  She loves her job, and there’s only a small hitch: she needs a minion sidekick and a kick-ass superhero name to go with her personality and her screwy sense of humor.   Jezebel, her roommate, convinces her to pitch the idea to a producer.

Last Sidekick Standing is the game show where Sally gets to put the men through their paces.  When a half-clad dragon shifter named Drake enters the contest, there really isn’t one.  Not only is he super sexy and protective, but with a great sense of humor the one liners in this story just fly and bring lots of laughs.

And there is still more: Sally has a thing for shopping, shopping till you drop shopping for designer labels.  But she doesn’t believe in love, in fact she feels love makes you weak and vulnerable – and who would want that.  She’s very much a girl of the present – easily explained in this little quote: “it wasn’t my fault she was stuck in Hell because she had an obvious head full of snakes –although I think her intense dislike of me might have also stemmed from the fact I’d once braided her serpents when we were just kids. Some people just couldn’t let go of the past”.

But, then again, when the opportunity to test out Drake’s “skills” arrives, the connection is electric.  While she plays it all off as just good sex, Drake is claiming her for his very own, and soon she just may have to rethink her beliefs about love. Clever, steamy and sexy, with several laugh out loud moments this was a winner from start to finish.

I received an eBook copy from the author for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
