Well after reading the description I thought it was the actual book with
an art gallery not the graphic novel which I just purchased on my nook.
I was very excited when I ordered the book, and when it finally arrived
and I opened it I was slightly disappointed. While I am excited to have
a hard copy of the graphic novel I am now going to have to spend more
money in order to get the actual book. Also I am angry that in the
details it said signed well surprise its not. All in all i believe that
it should have been clearly stated in the description that this is a
deluxe version of the graphic novel not the book. I am a big fan of
Peter S. Beagle, am I will treasure this book, I am just disappointed
that instead of reading the novel this weekend I will be re-reading the
    graphic novel.

I am a huge fan of The Last Unicorn in all it's adaptations, and have both the individual comic books and the hardcover graphic novel, in addition to the actual novel and animated movie. When I found out about this edition, I had to have it! The art is gorgeous and the actual writing has been adapted quite nicely.
The only reason I gave this four stars out of five is the lack of signature or book number, which is clearly stated in the description. It's not a complete deal-breaker for a die-hard fan like myself, but don't buy this solely based on the fact that it's supposed to be signed. I checked on IDW's (the publisher's) description of this edition, and I didn't see anything about the book being signed, so I'm not really sure where the confusion came from, though I know Amazon had the same trouble as well.
Bottom line, if you're a fan of The Last Unicorn, beautiful art, or just fantasy in general, I'd suggest buying this edition. It comes with an art gallery expanded from the normal edition and an extra sort story by Peter S. Beagle, himself!
PS, The only thing not found in this deluxe edition that's found in the comic books and regular edition is the interview with Mr. Beagle.

    A timeless tale, beautifully remastered!

The Last Unicorn is, hands down, one of my all-time favorite books and movies; therefore, I was so excited when I saw this edition was about to be released. It did not disappoint. The story is wonderfully adapted and the artwork is simply gorgeous! Although it has only been in my house a few days, it has already become the crown jewel of my book collection! It is a story that should definitely be shared with any who love magic and fairy tales!
