This is a picture book in words. Each poem stimulates an image of the worlds in which we live, their hills and mountains, cold northern seas and hot deserts, war, peace, loneliness, and the comfort of friends and child-filled families, together with reminders of the inner matters of the soul—faith, worship, birth, death, and the hereafter. It is a book to excite, stir, inspire, and frequently to raise a smile at the memories we all share.

About the Author

About The Author
Robert Ferguson has published short stories and poems on secular and spiritual themes. His poetry reflects a rich and varied life of travel and work in universities, government, industry and the Church. Its rhythms retain the disciplines of his early musical training, and its wit and compassion demonstrate a sensitivity shaped by family, friends, and faith in a number of different cultures and roles. Now retired, he uses his time to consider the ways of the contemporary world (not always favourably), to review the gifts provided by his experiences, and to offer his conclusions to those still navigating the pitfalls and peculiarities of busy human lives.
