I haven't read any romantic books in a very long time but I decided to take a chance on the Seven Brides series. I have read all the books and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Randolf man and the complex women who captured their hearts. This book in particular is about Hen Randolf who is probably the best gunfighter living and how he fell in love with Laurel Blackwell a widowed mother who is trying to protect her young son from being taken from her and being raised by her late husbands very dangerous family. It was wonderful to read how the characters didn't just meet and immediately fall for each other it took some time and there were plenty of obstacles for each to overcome before true love was to triumph.

The fourth book in the 'Seven Brides' series follows the other twin through a voyage of self-discovery. This was unlike any other romance novel I had ever read in that the heroine, Laurel, was a widow with a child. Beautifully done and well worth the read. MA

All the Seven Brides books were good, however Laurel was the best one. It's has confusion, romance, and it's even funny. Everything plays together in this one awsome book.
