Editorial Reviews

Booknews
The 1982 first and 1992 second editions were titled ; the title changed with the 1996 third. The guide helps large and small law firms design their own staff manuals. Significant changes in law office technology have become widespread since then, and the fourth edition encompasses some of the personnel problems encountered by firms of all sizes because of increased technology use and related changes such as the proliferation of in-house technology departments. Several other sections were also revised, and new material on the COBRA law was added. The pages are not bound, but punched for a three-hole binder. The text is duplicated on the 3.5<"> disk in both ASCII and formatted for Wordperfect 6.x for Windows. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
