Excellent guide for prospective law students!

Starting a journey toward earning any degree can be daunting but preparing for law school is like training to climb mount Everest. Law School Labyrinth is an engaging and intuitive guide to successfully completing law school. Steve Sedberry offers thorough and practical advice for all major steps along the degree path from choosing a school to financial assistance opportunities, from preparing for your first day of class to efficient strategies to maximize your study time, from your first exam to the bar exam. This book is an all inclusive guide that draws the reader in and leaves no question unanswered. I highly recommend this book to anyone considering or already on the path to earning a law degree.

Law School Labyrinth should be required reading for anyone who is about to enter law school.

Steven Sedberry's Law School Labyrinth should be required reading for anyone who is about to enter law school. The author unlocks many of the mysteries waiting to confound unsuspecting first year law students. They commence law school expecting that the intelligence, careful pre-class preparation and diligent class attendance that guaranteed their success in college would do so in law school, as well.

Instead they find that "learning to think like a lawyer" is the essential skill needed for law school success. Sedberry explains how to go about developing this essential skill and presents a system for mastering the first year law school subjects and preparing for law school exams. He also offers practical advice on many other related topics including choosing second and third year courses, clerkships, bar exam preparation and starting a legal career.

I was struck by how closely Sedberry's law school experience from the 1990's so closely matched my own from the early 1970's. I can't say I thoroughly enjoyed reading Law School Labyrinth. It brought back too many painful memories of my first semester of law school and my first years of legal practice but I certainly wish I'd had a guide like this to help me find my way.

Great Read - Informative and Insightful.

Although my Doctoral Education is in Theology, I found this book to be very perceptive as it offered insight into the process of higher education.

I believe it will be especially helpful to prospective law students. The principles in this book will be useful to any student entering post graduate studies.

I loved it! It's a must read for anyone considering law school. In addition, it's a fun read for those who have attended law school.

I enjoyed the book and found it very insightful.... Sedberry is a great story teller and makes you feel like you're in the classroom. I highly recommend for all that are considering a post graduate degree not just law school.

    Great book

I love the way the book tells a story about seeking whether a person wants to change careers and go back to law school. It seems like a complex subject has been simplified to enable a clear view of what it would take to effectively succeed in obtaining a law degree. I hope others enjoy reading the book as well.

    Cuts through the Clutter

This is one of those books that's so accessible yet informative -- the result of having someone who really knows what they're talking about sift through all the bs and paint an accurate, intelligent picture concisely -- kind of like how some of the best teachers you ever had are...
The anecdotal examples were also a good way of bringing a lot of technical aspects of school, teachers, tests and scores scores down to earth.
I would definitely recommended it as it can also be read easily in just a few sittings.

Great book for prelaws and law students

Interesting, witty and relevant. The stories are hysterical at times, sad at times, and sometimes both. This book is unique within this genre in that it gives an accurate roadmap to the law school experience, but also provides a strategy for students to help them optimize their studies. It makes a great read for students considering law school, those enrolled in law school, and others who are just interested in the subject.
