Becoming a team player is absolutely crucial to your ultimate success." Laying It on the Line will help the readers reach their goals, too.

    Phenomenal

This self-proclaimed bookworm ranks this book as one of her all-time favorites. To those who aren't necessarily interested in football, to those who don't understand football, and for those who don't know what football is, believe me when I say, you will undoubtedly connect with some, if not all of this autobiography. Indulge yourself in this down-to-earth, eye-opening drama that chronicles the ups and downs of life, as it relates to Griffith's chosen career of football. I see this book as more of the spiritual journey of a young man's life, explained through the metaphor of football. It could easily be a training development manual for any business consisting of more than one person - it's all about teamwork and the success, respect, honor and glory that can be achieved if all involved are confident and secure with their individual roles and truly understand the concept of 'team.' If you need to be 'pumped up' and inspired about anything you're trying to accomplish in your life right now, you need to purchase this book - it just may be the medicine you need!

    A great motivational story!

I think this book is GREAT. It is a wonderful motivational story for anyone. I love the fact that it is not your typical 'rags to riches' story that you find with most atheletes. It's not just about sports, but about life and over coming obstacles--from finding out that he was adopted while the lady that he thought to be his mother was dying of cancer to being a college football 'walk on' to breaking NCAA records and later to become a Super Bowl champion. I would recommend this one to any teenager--it is truly an inspirationally story. And an easy read.
