LBD is a Humorous, Light Read!

LBD is a fun book that gives you a laugh in almost every chapter! Grace Dent illustrates an enjoyable teenage, drama-filled story of 3 wonderfully funny girls who go through teen troubles and also is packed with fun adventures of their trip to the Astlebury Festival. The three girls: Ronnie, Fleur, and Claude are all best friends and call themselves the LBD to show they're all friends. Anyway, the LBD want to go to the Astlebury Festival and finally get their parents to let them. Basically the whole book is about the girls and their adventures in Astlebury. Very good book! Amber:)

    Alive and fabulous!!!!

Ronnie Ripperton, Fleur Swan, and Claudette Cassierra. A.K.A. LBD.
Three best friends all wanting to do something amazing this summer. Then Fleur suggests the Astelebury Music Festival. But with ticket prices soaring into the 500 pound range their chances of going are very slim. Then the letter comes. It's brown, bulky, and large. Inside are 4 tickets to Astelebury, sent by rock star friend Spike Shaunders. But four? There's only three girls. But after a conference with the parents it's decided that fleurs older sister,Daphne, will go with them. Around this time Ronnie's boyfriend, Jimmy, has failed to meet her standards and refuses to be dumped. Even though her friends say she should dump him she doesn't because she likes him to much. But at the festival she meets joel, a life guard and future rock star and thinks about breaking up with jimmy. Can jimmy prove to her that he actually is worth any thing? But, with thoughts of Jimmy aside there's the festival. At the festival there's a 24 hour dance tent, a million food places, tons of concerts,a thousand rock stars, and three wild girls. Everythings going great until at a concert for Fleur decides to go crowd surfing across the hands of the fans. But then she falls and doesn't come back up. This leads to a hunt and the meeting of all the girls favorite stars.

Veronica(ronnie) is the not so flirtatious girl of the three. She is the main main character and the most normal of them all. Then there's claudette she is way to organized and is very timid and shy. She worries about the whole world and everything in it. Especially when Fleur goes missing and she wants to call the police. And last but not least is Fleur. The wild child of the group constantly doing crazy things. Like, crowd surfing and getting lost There is also daphne the ¿responsible¿ older sister who could care less about the girls and what they are doing.

This book is so great. You feel like you're right in there with the girls and as they feel disappointment or happiness or any thing in between you feel it too. This book made me want to get all my close friends together and do something amazing with them that makes us all as close as the girls in this story. This book was really exciting and funny It seemed like all the people weere alive.. It was written by a british author and some of the words don't make sense so you have to figure out what they mean. I read this book twice because I liked it so much and I think everyone should read LBD:LIVE AND FABULOUS!!!

    Amazing Story

This book was amazing. I loved it so much, it is the best book I've ever read, and so are the others, in the series. I hope you keep writing more LBD adventures. Can't wait.

    OMG!

It was totally AMAZING!!! At first I was like - huh? i don't think i am going to like this. But - as the saying goes - do NOT judge a book by it's cover (which in this case has a pretty cool one. lol) Anyway - it was one of the best books i have ever read. You laugh out loud at some parts and others, u actually feel nervous for the characters. I would definately recommend it to any girls in Grades 7 - 9 or even gr. 10. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!
