I downloaded this before I read the reviews. After I read the reviews I was worried. However, most of them are wrong. You DO NOT have to page through for each chapter and verse. You can tap on the Section you want such as Nephi, then tap on the chapter such as 10 and then tap on the verse such as 4. You DO NOT have to tap through all the way to the verse through each and every page. I do wish the Joseph Smith Translation was part of this set but everything else is great. Thanks

Many books are missing a table of contents but not this one. Exactly what i was looking for.

The ebook is nice. As a reply to an earlier comment, this ebook is "LDS Scriptures". Why would you comment on a religous text you most likely have NEVER read and most certainly did not purchase? Your religous views are not what B&N wanted posted here.

My husband just bought me an ereader. This is so great to have to carry when traveling or just sitting and waiting at Dr. appointments. Easier than carrying the scriptures with me. This will make it easier at lots of different times. Although it will never replace my set that I have but it is a lot easier to get my scripture study in on the road or when I have to sit and wait.

This is the best Nook version of the complete standard works I've been able to find. OK, so no footnotes, everything else works great.

I like the fact that is has all the hymns too! Even though it does not have the notes, most songs are familiar enough that just having the lyrics is good enough

No footnotes whatsoever. I'll look forward to the church putting out a downloadable version on their website.

Good: o has all the standard works o has additional books and materials o links allow you to drill down by volume, book, chapter, and (if wanted) verse. [Note to reviewer who complained you had to scroll 138 verses: You don't] Could be better: o links are standard HTML hyperlinks, which is fine with Nook for PC, but on the Color Nook, the human finger is just too fat to hit them with any accuracy. I couldn't find any way to zoom in on them.

The people talking about it being slow and having to press buttons hundreds of times are just flat out wrong. It works great on my color nook and is very fast.

I am so glad that they made scriptures for the nook!

It does not replace the printed version because there are no footnotes, but it is nice to have when you are out and about. It is worth just to be able to read the scriptures anywhere at anytime.

I would love it if you would just allow the full download that is available to all Droid phones. The download is all done for you if you would just let us use it.

I want to like this offering. I really do. But it turns out to be useless. Earlier reviewer who said going to the 36th chapter of a book requires 36 clicks was optimistic. It's actually 36 slow clicks, AFTER drilling down from 1) the opening screen, to 2) the main book, and to 3) the actual book (ie, Alma) within the book. NOW start clicking 36 times, to get to the first page of the chapter. Then click 80 times to get to the end of the chapter. No hyperlinks, either. No footnotes...just raw inaccessible text. Standard Works LLC, if I'm wrong, post instructions on your website telling readers how to access content. (FYI, you're charging the same 10 bucks for other platforms with 2500 times as much content, nicely hyperlinked. I'm feeling ripped off. What you're offering here should be free. Fifty cents at the outside.) If the seller doesn't respond with instructions, buyer beware!

I have called customer support several times and they can't get it to open either. The problem is they don't seem to be able to fix it. I noticed it is still for sale even though B&N knows it is defective. I don't understand why they are selling a product they know doesn't work. Oh wait, could it be $$$$$$$?

The LDS church has made an epub file for the standard works! I could not find the hymns but it's probably only a matter of time before it becomes available. I didn't buy this book however so the review isn't about this version just simply that you can get it for free somewhere else.

Indexing and navigation prohibits use as a study tool. Acceptable if engaged in narrative reading.

Typical poor indexing of a large volume. This might be fine for reading, but is horrible for random scripture access (looking up scriptures as you are following along with a discussion). Index entries are tiny and cramped so it's more chance when you hit the right link

I purchased this and spent over 2 weeks trying to get it working on my nook. It turned out that this selection does NOT work on my older nook. I then had to have them prove it for themselves so that I could recieve a refund.

I have tried everything I could find to open the book on my Nook First Edition. I even tried contacting technical support. They were no help. I feel I wasted the cost of the book.

I've tried everything possible and this will not open.
