Apologies for my horrid French- I am but a third year student. We read this book as a class in French during the past weeks and it was incredibly moving and eye-opening. For one thing, it helped ease the stress of upcoming exams not only because we were reading the book and not doing intense grammar review, but also because of the potent message of stopping to smelling the roses and not letting life pass you by. It was, quite literally, life-changing. (I'm the businessman type myself.) Whether you speak French or not, read this book. It's the most amazing thing. The last chapters had some of my classmates in tears. The illustrations as well are incredible. I can't say enough good things about this masterpiece that Saint-Exupéry was kind enough to give us before he disappeared. Surely this is the most enduring classic the world over, for adults and for children alike.

    Je l'adore!

I read this book in high school and absolutely loved it. Now, 6 years later, I'm reading it to my husband. This story never gets old. It could possibly be the best book I've ever read.

    Le Petit Prince Wins Again!

This book is fabulous! It really gives a new and different look at the world and the human society in general. Even if you don't understand the hidden symbolism, it is a fantastic story.

    Great Reading even for adults

Any adult may soon notice that the book only looks like an illustrated one for children. But there is SO MUCH more in it. I have kept reading the book each year at least once since childhood. And this is 30 years back now. It teaches us this lesson that nothing is more important than...

    J'adore cette levre

This was a great book. I read it in English in my French class and then I went out and bought it in french. I loved the message the book brought out. Also, we watched the movie in French class and I love the messages the author wrote in the book.

    C'est tres interest!

This book is very good if you can understand the underlying messages that the characters are giving and what they represent in the history of this world! Reading this for the first time in my French class really made me think about the things that were going on during that time period and the other lives associated with the war. History classes tell you the people that were involved and were affected, but it doesn't give the same affect as one that experienced it first hand.

    C'est magnifique!

I am a French 3 student in high school, and we read this book as an assignment. I was surprised by how much I understood. It was a charming book, and the message is for all ages. I'll never forget discussing the planets in class. Each planet reminds you of childhood innocence and a kind of adult that everybody knows. I thought it was sweet and endearing. It's really a book for everyone to read because it's a reminder to pay attention to life itself, not just little details.

    J'aime cette historie!

This is a wonderful book, but should not be mistaken as a children's book. The issues dealt with are high level and are not suitable for young children. However, it is a must read for all other ages, and it brings a different view on the world that is much appreciated and awaited.

    Un Merveilleux Livre!!

This is an extraordinary and unique book, which can be read on all levels, from a children's book to in depth philosophy. There is a lesson in every chapter, some may seem meaningful while others may seem silly. In any case, the story overall is heartfelt. French students will find this interpretable yet challenging. Others should realize the English version is not as sweet. There is some poetry and perhaps pun in the story where translation fails to do its job. However, the silver-lining is consistant and the fascinating world to which one is exposed to is worth all the time and trouble. Amusez-vous!

This unforgettable tale will leave you yearning for your care-free days of childhood and of innocence. It reminds us to take the time to open our hearts to a world of possibilities and to never put our 'stars in a drawer.'
