Overview

Leadership Bloopers and Blunders is a common-sense book on what not to do as a leader. The book is divided into six distinct chapters that help to identify common leadership mistakes that can lead to disaster for teachers and school leaders. This book shares real-life stories based on actual events. Some stories are based on court cases or events that made the news, while others were compiled from events shared by colleagues. Each story is followed by discussion questions to facilitate discussion to enhance leadership development. The chapters highlight legal and good-sense commentary on how to avoid leadership mishaps from those who have seen it all.

Editorial Reviews

Timothy R. Jenney
As a thirty-year practicing administrator, I've never before seen such a common-sense approach to leadership. Just when you think you have seen it all, along comes an employee blooper or blunder that makes you scratch your head. This book takes the element of surprise out of dealing with such foolishness. I highly recommend it for all administrators as surprises don't just happen to the inexperienced.
Gregory M. Logan
For anyone in or aspiring to a leadership position in K–12 education, this book is a must-read. It will make you stop and think before you make a quick decision that could be harmful to your students/children and your staff.

[Hm. I'm not sure. I think it was entertaining to watch but I have s<_>ex with someone I care for, not to just do it because. Everyone is different and you have all known each other longer than I have.] Seven was already awake and she looked at Silv, grooming his head.

    Splitsecond chapter one

I slammed my hand against the locker door. Spanish class. I looked in the mirror on my locker and applied some pink sparkly lip gloss. Shaylee walked up and said, "Jamie, you okay? You're putting on makeup again." She observed every detail. "Luke," was all l said. She understood and brushed her hand down my hair, red as the hair of Debby Ryan. I grabbed my books and my Spanish beading project. I sat in my seat and looked at Luke. He had matted blond hair and blue eyes, along with several freckles along his nose. I just tried to work on beading little cactus blossoms into my striped woolen blanket without thinking about the cute boy in row four. BRRRING! I headed off, saved by the bell.
