Daniel Goleman was ranked one of the top ten business intellectuals by the Accenture Institute for Strategic Change, and The Wall Street Journal included him in its top 10 ranking of influential business thinkers in 2008. Dr. Goleman's article in the Harvard Business Review, "What Makes a Leader?" received the highest reader ratings ever, becoming the Review's best-selling reprint.

Dr. Goleman covered the brain and behavioral sciences at the New York Times for twelve years. He is co-founder of the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning, and co-directs the Consortium for Research on Emotional Intelligence in Organizations.
