Must-Have Book If You Love Classic Actresses

This book is wonderful! It really does feature all of the greatest classic actresses - Clara Bow, Norma Shearer, Marion Davies, Myrna Loy, Gene Tierney, Lana Turner, Jean Harlow, Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe, Mary Pickford, Irene Dunne, Joan Crawford, and many more. There are lots of photos and interesting trivia about all the actresses. The book devotes four pages to each actress which includes at least one full page photo. The photos alone are worth the price of the book! There are also complete filmographies for every actress in the back. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves classic actresses.

    I Also Recommend:

The pictures alone make the book fabulous

Leading Ladies of the Studio Era is my second in the series of three books about stars from the movies' golden age. I have become fascinated with old movies and this book I could not put down. I love all the personal tidbits as well as the highlights concerning their best known movies. From Jean Arthur to Rita Hayworth to Ginger Rogers and Marilyn Monroe, they are all there and their pictures are gorgeous. The foreword by Robert Osborne, of Turner Classic Movies, is so interesting! Great book for "old movie" lovers like me.

I love this book. Its truly amazing, BUT where is Veronica Lake? Joan Fontaine? Betty Grable? Jennifer Jones? Constance Bennett? Joan Bennett? Talullah Bankhead?
