    I Also Recommend:

Great for the young and the old...

I have always had an interest in the classic movie period, and when I had heard that this book was out I knew I had to have it. Like a lot of my generation, I'm only 18, I did not know too much about this era and wanted a way to get my feet wet. This is exactly what this book did, along with the other two books in the series (Leading Ladies and Leading Couples). The book is outlined in a way that the fifty actors that they chose had equal page "time:" a full page photo, a brief synopsis of their career/personal life, the actors five "essential" films (what Turner Classic Movies is known for), and "Behind the Scenes" facts about the actor. This book proved to me that I was missing out on a lot of great actors and to maybe try to watch a silent movie sometime.
With that said it's a great book to give to the young and old, all generations can have an appreciation for this book. I know I sure did!
