Overview

She has always done what she had to do: Leah Lange Chase has managed the often-conflicting roles of wife, mother, businesswoman, and celebrity long before most women worried about juggling the delicate balance of their personal and professional lives. She has testified before the subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives on behalf of the National Endowment for the Arts, she has managed boxers, and she has fed everybody from Venus and Serena Williams to Cicely Tyson, all while working ten- to twelve-hour days and raising a large family. Leah Chase's story will grip you with tales of the strength, faith, and hard work with which this ordinary woman has succeeded in spite of the odds against her. Reading her story makes one think, "If she can do it, maybe I can too."

Leah Chase is a remarkable woman.  Book gives good history and insights into what makes her tick.  Only thing better would be an updated version on her life since 2002.  Katrina didn't stop her, despite that fact that restaurant was under water.  Her positive outlook on life got her through, and she's back in the kitchen at age 90+.  I'd love to read the details of that period of time.
